NO MORE UGLY WATERMARKS!

I also hate watermarked magazines, but I'd like to point that some PAID SUBSCRIPTIONS give the reader access to a set of JPG pages that are ORIGINALLY watermarked by the publishing company, and WORSE THAN THAT, some houses included the SUBSCRIBER CODE to track if they are reuploading it to some other place, so the subscriber MUST OVERWATERMARK the publication to avoid a legal prosecution.
Also you must know that some publishers (luckily for us, they are only a bunch of them, for example, the ISO organization) use a DIGITAL WATERMARK which is particular to each customer and transaction. That is why you will never see an ISO standard on the Internet.

OH... finally, someone saw the pain!!
Sometimes it is hard to read the magazine, vertical watermark, horizental watermark, text watermark, image watermark... in ALL pages! come on!...

Please make an exception from this rule for german magazines. Never found there any disturbing watermarks. I would miss flowerpack and all the other posters from good old Germany very much!!!

While we're at it, I propose that a naming convention is adopted, for example:
BOOKS: Title of the Book (Edition) ISBN Number
MAGAZINES: Title of the Magazine (YYYY:MM-MM)

This would be beneficial to all, I guess...

while you're doing the cleanup, it would be great to see comics out of the "magazines" areas and ONLY in the "comics" area. :)

And Id hate if the year was first, month should be first. Wouldnt it be assumed that mags were put in folders by year? i would want to have to look to the end of the filename for month. No big deal, but its unergonomic.

Banning watermarks is understandable, but not telling us how to remove them is what's missing here.
With acrobat x professional there are publisher watermarks that can't be removed. I'm not speaking about layers or footers those are easy to get rid of.

If all comics are stored ONLY there, ppl who want comics will know where to find them and ppl with no interest in comics will not have to wade through hundreds of comics to find the magazines they want. Can I add a request to this thread, I would like to propose that a country of origin be added. Mags at the moment, that say English could come from any English speaking country or mags in Spanish could come from Spain or some Latin American countries.

It's not always possible from the front page picture to be sure which country a mag is from, at the moment I'm interested in mags from Spain and Portugal as I'm thinking about moving there but i end up downloading lots of mags from Latin America that are not what i want.

Can anyone recommend the best way to remove watermarks? I have tried removing with Acrobat, Illustrator, Foxit, and a few others...all of which did not work.

@cynics tried ages ago but gave up on it, I figure the watermarks are locked possibly with a password. Its such an eyesore I dont understand why people just dont put it in a notepad and sometimes they put it on every page, how inconvenient. At least comic scans they keep it as a tag and you can delete it afterwards

The comics:magazines ratio has increased by orders of magnitude and now magazines/language/m_english displays even more comics than before!

I am doomed to search for the needle of real magazines in the haystack of comics forever! :(

Also i want to say someone needs to put a stop to one option download links with then making it so no one can add more. rules say two or more links per download, Not two links to the same download service. follow the rules

seriously i don't mind the watermarks, its not really a big issue. afterall we're already downloading the mags for free aka. illegally, what more could we ask for?

Yeah and where do we find these clear sources? Do they even exist? The amount of magazines being posted on Avax has gone down considerably since this rule was imposed, which leads me to believe that it's not as easy as "JUST FIND THE CLEAR SOURCES".

You know what we "deserve" even more... a way to browse magazines ONLY without seeing pages and pages of comics... please, put Comics into a different category. Perhaps under Ebooks? They are not magazines.
