EAC Rip | FLAC, tracks + CUE Sheet + LOG | 282 MB
ECM 1870 | Jazz | Complete Artwork

Parish is a fascinating band initiated by Norwegian drummer Thomas Stronen. Half-Swedish, half-Norwegian, it brings master pianist Bobo Stenson into the orbit of the younger generation of Scandinavian players, with striking results.

Paul Motian Trio - Dance (1978)
EAC Rip | FLAC, tracks + CUE Sheet + LOG | 222 MB
ECM 1108 | Jazz | Complete Artwork

The music on Dance is quite subtle and never attempts at overpowering the listener, but rather wraps her in a delicate web of sound and evoked images.

ECM 1894 | Jazz | Complete Artwork

“Shades of Jade”, a mature jazz album, with a classic, timeless feel, makes sense of the range of Johnson’s experience, and stresses his compositional skills. It also features one of the most melodically-inventive pianists in modern jazz in Eliane Elias, the CD’s other primary composer.

Chick Corea - Children's Songs (1984)
EAC Rip | FLAC, Image + CUE Sheet + LOG | 122 MB
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 92 MB
ECM 1267 | Jazz | Complete Artwork

Chick Corea has been one of the most significant jazzmen since the '60s. Not content at any time to rest on his laurels, Corea has been involved in quite a few important musical projects, and his musical curiosity has never dimmed. A masterful pianist who, along with Herbie Hancock and Keith Jarrett, was one of the top stylists to emerge after Bill Evans and McCoy Tyner, Corea is also one of the few electric keyboardists to be quite individual and recognizable on synthesizers.

Gideon Lewensohn - Odradek (2002)
EAC Rip | FLAC, Image + CUE Sheet + LOG | 271 MB
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 184 MB
ECM 1781 | Classical | Complete Artwork

The ECM New Series debut of Israeli composer Gideon Lewensohn, "Odradek" is comprised entirely of premiere recordings. Lewensohn is increasingly recognised as one of the freshest voices in contemporary music and the title piece from this album, the "Odradek Quartet" won First Prize in the International Competition of the Italian Academy of Arts and Letters. Lewensohn's music defies easy categorisation. It is by turns, playful, serious, ironic, caustic, beautiful.

ECM 1629 | Classical | Complete Artwork

The German-Austrian-Australian Rosamunde Quartett München was formed in 1991 by four musicians of widely differing backgrounds, and given early encouragement by Sergiu Celibedache and Heinrich Schiff. A major success at the Berliner Festwochen a year later elevated them to "the elite of the lofty guild of string quartets" to quote one German critic, and since then they have toured the major festivals.

Agnes Buen Garnas & Jan Garbarek - Rosenfole (1989)
EAC Rip | FLAC, Image + CUE Sheet + LOG | 269 MB
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 132 MB
ECM 1402 | Folk | Complete Artwork

This 1988 recording may be Garbarek's most extended foray into the early music of his native Norway, crafting spacious settings for the voice of Agnes Buen Garnas, a Norwegian traditional singer who brings a rich drama to these songs based on medieval origins. Her voice is a stunning instrument, possessed of a thrilling vibrato and a subtle sense of pitch that are only enhanced by the electronic climate of the recording.

Barry Guy - Folio (2005)
EAC Rip | FLAC, Image + CUE Sheet + LOG | 236 MB
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 140 MB
ECM 1931 | Classical | Complete Artwork

The hour-long Folio was Barry Guy’s response to a very specific commission from the BT Scottish Ensemble… It was, though, a prescription tailor-made for Guy: as well as a composer he is also a double-bass virtuoso who makes regular forays into the jazz world, and his wife Maya Homburger is a distinguished baroque violinist.

EAC Rip | FLAC, Image + CUE Sheet + LOG | 325 MB
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 165 MB
ECM 2080 | Jazz | Complete Artwork

“Stone in the Water” features the brilliant Italian pianist’s “Danish trio”, a group that has been honing its improvisational understanding for six years already. Bassist Jesper Bodilsen and drummer Morten Lund (both making ECM debuts) draw on a still longer association, having collaborated closely for more than 15 years. The three players move, with immense subtlety, through a fascinating programme that includes new pieces by Bollani and Bodilsen, plus ballads by Caetano Veloso and Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Poulenc’s “Improvisation 13 en mineur”, bringing fresh colours to the piano trio genre.

EAC Rip | FLAC, Image + CUE Sheet + LOG | 226 MB
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 131 MB
ECM 1897 | New Age | Complete Artwork

Micus has always been a genre of his own, representing a unique way of musical expression in an otherwise musically dry 20th century. He dares to explore equipped with his vast knowledge of instruments and his never ending spiritual wandering. All these are more than enough to place him among the most important modern musical figures.

John Surman - Discography on ECM
Eac Rip | FLAC, Image + CUE Sheet + LOG | 40 CDs
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo
ECM | Jazz | Complete Artwork for all albums

Born in Tavistock, Devon, England in 1944, composer/multi-instrumentalist John Surman is one of the key figures in a generation of European musicians who have crucially expanded the international horizons of jazz during the past thirty years or so. Long acknowledged as an improviser of world class, Surman has also composed a body of work which extends far beyond the normal range of the jazz repertoire. Already, by the late 60s, it was clear that Surman was a phenomenon.

MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 145 MB
ECM 1983 | Jazz | Complete Artwork

The Italian reedman Gianluigi Trovesi is a treasure for music lovers - whether their chosen genre is jazz, the blurry area between jazz and contemporary chamber music, theme-centered orchestral works, or (as is the case with this recording) simply beautiful music that defies classification.

EAC Rip | FLAC, Image + CUE Sheet + LOG | 324 MB
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 161 MB
ECM 2042 | Jazz | Complete Artwork

The voice of Amina Alaoui soars above Jon Balke's remarkable compositions for baroque ensemble, with soloists drawn from jazz, scattered improvisational traditions, and the world of early music. Behind this remarkable musical integration is a web of philosophical, historical, and literary interconnections, as Balke and Alaoui set texts from Sufi poets, Christian mystics, troubadours and more.

Cyminology - As ney (2009)
EAC Rip | FLAC, Image + CUE Sheet + LOG | 267 MB
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 154 MB
ECM 2084 | Chamber Jazz | Complete Artwork

As Ney, the ECM debut of the Cyminology, posits a new kind of chamber jazz, one that reaches deep into the cultural traditions of its members as much as it does ECM's own musical aesthetic and rich discography—with even a hint of the American jazz tradition. As ECM continues to push the envelope of modern jazz, Cyminology is one of its best finds in recent years. As Ney is an album that speaks across borders with quiet but nevertheless passionate beauty.
