“

In Chinese culture there is a great tradition concerning tea. This tradition may be introduced with the two words: Cha Tao, the way of tea. The philosophy about Cha Tao aims to encourage people to return to nature. In other words it is a pursuit of all that is pure and simple. Popular traditional musical instruments such as the guzheng, erhu, and di, suffuse three instrumental pieces with Chinese classical flavor. The harmonious atmosphere created by these pieces of music possesses simple and peaceful qualities.

”

Enjoy the picture of the tea`s steaming vapor merging into the rain`s mist moonlight reflecting upon a cup of tea and alluring songs coming out of nowhere--they are all music of the master flute player Zhang Wei-liang.

“

Though Freddie Ravel has done stints as music director for singer Al Jarreau and as a touring member of Earth, Wind & Fire, the keyboardist remains one of the best-kept secrets in smooth jazz. This album, his third, and his first in six years, may change that. Pretty melodies and lush arrangements that are dominated by the music of his Hispanic heritage mark Ravel's music. Marc Antoine, Peter White, and the team of Strunz and Farah will draw fans of flamenco guitar to this release. And Ravel's legendary ex-bandmates from EW&F, bassist Verdine White and guitarist Al McKay, add a funk punch to the track "Sunny Side Up." Ravel shows his palatable vocal chops on the memorable Latin-pop song, "Love Is in the Air ... When You're Aware," a tune that owes a distinct rhythmic debt to Tito Puente. This outing for Ravel should resonate with anyone fond of the crossroads between smooth jazz and samba, rumba, and merengue.

”

“

Major Dundee is a good old fashioned music. Daniele Amfitheatrof composed identifying themes for various character elements. We hear the catchy Major Dundee theme throughout which sounds like a constant call to rally behind him and his obsessive mission. There is a romantic love melody, southern musical references for the gentlemen of the South and a reoccurring theme for the invading French lancers. The battle music is frenetic and equally rousing.

”

Alberto Calvo - Pass It On (1998)
Mp3 320 Kbps | 99 Mb | Total Time: 00:42:34
Genre: Jazz, Smooth Jazz

“

Australian guitarist Albert Calvo's CD "Pass It On" begins with three tunes that fit right in with the current contempo genre. However, a better picture of Calvo's individual talents begins to emerge with cut 4; "Insights" features Calvo improvising thoughtfully on nylon-string acoustic guitar over a background sea of sustained synthesizer chords. Next, "Virtual Samba" rolls along happily with percolating percussion and nice guitar and flute solos. The Brazilian beat continues a la Luis Bonfa or Oscar Castro-Neves on "Yours Forever," followed by the Latin-flavored "Super 60 Strut." Samples of Take 6's signature sound add an interesting dimension to "Calious Groove," as does the full-bodied sound of the Hammond B-3 organ. The CD closes in style with another samba with flute and guitar, "It's Worth the Wait." (Vintage Music)

”

Genre: Electronic

“

I bought this album as part of a package deal with John Hopkins private universe ( which has some of the most emotionally charged, beautiful, non-speech music I have ever heard) with the intent of getting some soul-calming, introspective sounds. I wasnt sure if I would like it, BUT I DID. In particular, tracks 1,2,3, and 9 get to me and transform my mood and state of mind, especially track 9 which I find beautifully euphoric. I would highly recommend this album to anyone who loves music made from the fusing of modern electronica with melody, in other words, electronically influnced music that enhances your state of mind and mood in the most positive, joyous way. Really, I cant say enough positive things about this album.

”

“

Grteat MUSIC!! First - come have a cup of tea. Contemplate the tea`s emerald green color, drink the beautiful scenes and feel the rhythm of the Chinese flute accompanied with other Chinese instruments such as dulcimer and pipa. In this album Chinese things (tea) scenes (West Lake) music and poetry are merged beautifully expressing the essence of the Chinese humanistic way of life. Enjoy the picture of the tea`s steaming vapor merging into the rain`s mist moonlight reflecting upon a cup of tea and alluring songs coming out of nowhere--they are all music of the master flute player Zhang Wei-liang. You will know drinking tea is not just a sensory enjoyment but also a typical Chinese aesthetic experience that will cleanse your mind and elevate your heart.

”

“

I have tried several other mindfulness CDs, but Chakra's Dream - Essential Meditation is by far my favorite! Practicing the included exercises on a regular basis has been a LIFE CHANGING experience! The CD is structured in a way that makes mindfulness more accessible to the average individual. I started out with practicing the body scan exercise serveral times, which really helped me to connect with my body and recenter myself into the present moment. I also loved the Being with pain exercise. I found it extremely valuable in learning to bring a gentle mindful approach to handling physical and emotional pain. I have already started to recommend this mindfulness CD to all my friends and family!

”

Although Honeyroot may compromise of Heaven 17 lead singer, Glen Gregory and ex- ABC member Keith Lowndes, this is no rehash of eighties synth pop and certainly doesn't herald a return of the New Romantics. Instead, what is to be found on this little gem of an album is an eclectic mix of ambient, electronica dusted bliss.

”
