Jump into life and take a ride with a really fresh collection of new Chill/Smooth Jazz from Curtis Macdonald. From the positive groove of the opener Open House followed by a hip turn of events with Traffic, I have to say Gold Coast is a CD that can always live in my IPOD. It continues with tune after tune of imaginative works by a composer known for his crafty radio friendly instrumentals. The soloing is as creative as the melodies, and after awhile you start singing along with the solo's! From the soulful neo-classical jazzy ballad Moonlight In Your Eyes to the bounce of Ocean Avenue, it's all good to go if your on the go or just taking in the day.

"Pure, upbeat, delightful, and enjoyable contemporary instrumentals in melodic and pleasant harmonies." -- NEW AGE VOICE As a follow-up to his 2002 EverSound release "Shadow Crossing," Curtis Macdonald's "Everlasting" is a collection of fresh, beautiful new compositions that weave a tapestry of new age, nu-jazz, and adult contemporary instrumentals into a unique sound. With bouncy, pulsating grooves and inspiring arrangements, "Everlasting" puts the listener in the right mood no matter what the environment.

Markus Reuter & Robert Rich - Eleven Questions
MP3 @ 256 Kbps | 53:13 min | 2007 | 109 MB | 10% Recovery Record
Unlike most releases of the ambient/electronica genre, each piece on Eleven Questions has an instant appeal. The songs form concise statements and mostly feature acoustic and electro-acoustic instruments (lap steel, touch guitar, piano, acoustic guitar, flutes), rather than synthesizers.

Raphael - Angels Of The Deep
MP3 @ 192 Kbps VBR | 1:02:46 min | 1995 | 95.5 MB | 10% Recovery Record
Angels of the Deep, Raphael’s 1995 outing for Hearts of Space, is the sonic swirl of liquid dreams, water nymphs, and whalesong. Both Raphael’s Hawaii residence and his work teaching and lecturing about sexuality and spirituality have indubitably informed the making of this recording. Excellent accompaniment for bodywork or meditation, Angels of the Deep provides the feeling of warm and watery cradling of both the physical and emotional self and features the celestial strings of shakti harp and guitar, as well as flute, in addition to Raphael’s other worldly synthesizers. The title cut opens this seven-song cycle with whales singing, watery blips, and swelling strings, all of which combine to make music befitting any voluptuary. Raphael goes for “more is more” here, and because of the skill and sincerity of the overall production, it works.

Satin Blue is the third album by talented musician, composer and writer Lino. It is a strong and confident, original and extremely ear-friendly collection of tunes that layers and blends classical, jazz and folk styles. To describe the album as "new age" could damage it by association with the glut of bland, tonal, antiseptic products huddling under that umbrella, yet it cannot be categorized as purely guitar, involving as it does a panoply of other stringed and wind instruments and percussion, which enrich the sound and raise the quality of this work still higher.

Robert Miles & Trilok Gurtu - Miles Gurtu
MP3 @ 320 Kbps | 42:19 min | 2004 | 107 MB | 10% Recovery Record
Another element of 'Organik' explored further on 'Miles-Gurtu' is that of live playing and the album is rooted in a very 21st century reimagining of the classic Jazz trio featuring ex-Mahavishnu Orchestra member Trilok on drums and percussion, Jon Thorne, whose jazz-tinged work with Lamb had been so innovative, on double bass and Robert and Mike Patto on keyboards. Still further live input was provided by 'Organik' veteran Nitin Sawnhey on guitar and other players including Paul Falloon, Toshinori Kondo and The Urban Soul Orchestra. All of this is then given a further dimension by interacting with Robert's cutting-edge electronics and superb production techniques.

Robert Miles - Organik Remixes

Further developing the collaborative element that had been such a liberating part of 'Organik', 2002 saw the release of a remix album, suitably titled 'Organik Remixes' which assembled reinterpretations of many of the original album tracks by a choice selection of leftfield and dance orientated artists including Future Sound Of London

The record that emerged was a deeply personal and for Robert a cleansingly contemporary one. Darker, more leftfield and drawing on a far wider palette than anything which might have been envisaged at the close of '23AM', 'Organik' draws on the deepest exploration of his musical self and earliest influences thus far as well as reflecting to a certain extent the traumatic period from which he was finally emerging (as titles such as 'Separation' and 'Release Me' would suggest). All of this is further synthesised with the experiences of his recent travels. As Robert said at the time "I've seen and experienced a lot of different cultures and that has had an effect. It's the interaction between European electronic music and other, more traditional sounds that fascinates me now."

Robert Miles - Dreamland (The Winter Edition)
MP3 @ 320 Kbps | 48:08 min | 2006 | 117 MB | 10% Recovery Record
After the huge success of Children, not surprisingly, Robert had been hungrily snapped up by a major label, BMG's 'Deconstruction' and temporarily escaping the media frenzy that had engulfed him returned to his bunker in Italy to finish the rest of what would become his first album 'Dreamland'. On release 'Dreamland', which also includes the singles 'One and One' and 'Fable', was perhaps even more successful than 'Children' itself, racking up a mighty 16 platinum and 12 gold discs in 21 countries around the world. Industry plaudits naturally flowed and the following year (1997) Robert picked up a host of trophies including a Brit award (Best International Newcomer), two BMIs and a World Music award (Best Selling Male Newcomer of the Year). Wherever the peaks of the music world were to be found that year, Robert Miles was assuredly at the summit.
