Ryan Farish - Movement In Light
MP3 @ 256 Kbps VBR | 38:48 min | 2009 | 67.6 MB | 5% Recovery Record

Ryan Farish brings a fresh perspective in this latest release called, "Movement in Light". Yes, the single finger piano anthems we all love are still there, but he's branching out into new musical journeys to keep things fresh. The track "Allure" has an almost Enya quality to it. "Serengeti Run" features a subtle African rhythm with the ethereal synthesized voices reminiscent of early Adiemus recordings.

Two more fresh tracks include "Colortones" with a real dance feel, and a pure-synth track called "Mechanical Beauty" that features some new and interesting synthesizer programming that we haven't heard from Ryan before.

If you're the type that demands the Ryan Farish formula that made us all fall in love with his work...don't worry, a majority of tracks in this release such as the title track and the track called "Closer Away" still will satisfy the Farish faithful.

Don't miss Ryan's latest release...you won't regret following him on his latest electronic voyage!

Igor Krutoy - Without Words
MP3 @ 320 kbps | 3:26:59 | 451.81 mb | 2007 | 3 Discs | 5% File Recovery

Russian Pop Composer, Igor Krutoy introduces his first Solo instrumental album, "...Without Words..." with a touch of class. Krutoy's songs take you on a journey, making you think about life and love. The most powerful and probably his biggest Number One hit is the ballad in memory of his father, Track #5 "When I Close My Eyes". Two music videos have been shot for this song. The first version of "When I Close My Eyes" features Igor Krutoy's home videos with family and friends, driving in his black Mercedes. The second version features two famous figure skaters on red ice, skating around Igor Krutoy, playing on a grand piano covered with ice.

The album also features excellent tracks like the unforgettable melodic piece "Tenderness", the jazzy "Pink Smoke", and another hit single "Epic Of A Friend". The best feature of the album is the Robert Miles's styled Dream Remix of "Epic Of A Friend."

Krutoy has an uncanny ability to create music that enriches the soul. One of his more well known songs "Sad Angel" will bring an amazing amount of emotion to the surface if you let it. Pain, disappointment, joy and peace are all interwoven together to create a truly breathtaking piece of music. Sit back, close your eyes and let the music wash over you. I guarantee you'll be replaying it over and over.
I bought this CD back in June and have not been disappointed. I listen to a wide variety of new age and electronic music and Digital Moodz manages to combine the best of what's out there and more into an excellent offering. You get a taste of the old world guitar and flutes meeting new electronic ambient sounds with a mix of haunting but pleasing vocals now and then. It sounds familiar but there is alot of uniqueness to the music which is hard to explain. There is much to keep you interested unlike alot of new age music which lately seems to be bland and boring. I am sure this will be a favorite of mine for many years to come. Can't wait to hear more for Digital Moodz. I definitely recommend this to any fan of new age, world, ambient groove or electronic music.
This is an excellent follow-up to Digital Moodz last release "Metamorphosis". Though I have only had it a few days, this is one of the best ambient/new age CD's I have purchased so far this year. Incredible tracks like "Ages of Time" and "Night Shadows" are both dark but soothing melodic masterpieces. It continues with other marvelous tracks like the guitar driven "Serenity in Motion", the dance groovin' "Wired", jazzy downtempo smooth "New Life" and ends with a remix of "Within" originally off the last CD though it does not sound that much different, but great song nevertheless. I recommend this and any offerings from Digital Moodz as you will not be disappointed.

In this case it’s not the case I can assure you, maybe it’s the right etiquette with all the ingredients, melodic, soft, with synth pad washes and slow rythmic patterns, but these different melodic themes are always nearly pentatonical interesting, and you will find here and there some sonical surprises. Although there might be just a little lack in using too much a bunch of same kind of sounds (very fluty and occasionaly guitar-like) but if you like those, this can be for you. Must admit I like these melancholic to happy simple moods, but also project me somehow in some mysterious lost worlds. this is what Richard Burmer has a talent for. This Music as the strengh and the appeal to speak directly to you without any masks…

Richard Burmer - Invention
MP3 @ 192 - 320 Kbps VBR | 52:58 min | 1992 | 81.9 MB | 10% Recovery Record

For many the name Richard Burmer is synonymous with modern-day genius. Like M.C. Escher, J.R.R. Tolkien, and John Lennon, Burmer has gone beyond the realm of merely creating art, by traveling into and manifesting the realms of the otherworldly and fantastic. His three previous releases have provided musical spaces of in-depth exploration and inspired listening. 1987’s “Bhakti Point,” his second effort, is a modern-day classic, while “On the Third Extreme,” recorded in 1988, set off in search of new sonic terrain. Four years in the making, he has traveled even farther this time to bring his superb new album Invention. On the itinerary are explorations like “Curiodance,” “Easter Eve,” “Walking Summer to Sleep” and “Settle Near the Sunset,” which animate the landscape of majestic beauty and whimsical wondering. On “King-Fisher’s Day,” “Promise of Return,” “Landing” and “Inventor,” Burmer crashes boundaries of musical convention and propels one into the world of high drama and rhythmic, emotional intensity. Incorporating state-of-the-art synthesizers like the Emulator and Proteus with added percussion and guest guitarist Jon Claussen, Richard creates a sweeping orchestral sound which is hard to believe…and well worth the wait.

The 80’s produced the best “New Age” music. Steven Hill’s weekend radio show called “Music From the Hearts of Space” was the entity that introduced to me precious few, genuine “New Age” artists including Richard Burmer. “Mosaic” is an album of profound electronic beauty. It’s sonic textures stimulates my imagination. This cd is a must if you have less than five “New Age” cds in your collection.

Michael Jones & David Darling - Amber
MP3 @ 192 Kbps | 43:24 min | 1987 | 65 MB | 10% Recovery Record

Both pianist Michael Jones and cellist David Darling are master improvisers, and on Amber they form a perfect team. Jones plays the piano with a delicate touch, sensitive to the patterns of nature; Darling adds dimensions of abstractions; both are in tune with the soul’s inner musings. “Rainfall” is perfectly titled, as Jones is the plink to Darling’s plunk. Darling’s warm chords support the piece like a warm fire adds comfort to the storm. “Wu Wei” is bittersweet, an inventive syncopation with layers of cello (some electrified); the piece is like a carefree walk where you notice this and that. It reminds me of how a puppy frolics to investigate every leaf and bumblebee. The sequences slow to a drunken crawl, almost a race to see who can come in last. “After the Sun” is an inky and introspective solo by Jones, somber yet at peace. Sparkles of hope then come out in bright contrast to the edge of night. The eleven-and-a-half minute “Dreamlight” balances between a lullaby and space music. Darling offers broad plains of electrified organlike tones that create the sensation of floating in space. Both Jones and Darling fill out the musical space with tones that simulate starlight. The album ends with “Shadows of the Moon,” a lighthearted piece that reminds me of the bounce of fireflies. The progression through the album is wonderful.

MP3 @ 192 - 320 Kbps VBR | 1:10:48 min | 1993 | 102 MB | 10% Recovery Record

From the spellbinding majesty of the Alhambra to the thunderous war machine called Conquistadores, Jon Mark has again captured the soul and spirit of a people in his music. The Alhambra was at one time the royal city/fortress of the Moors, looking down over Spanish Granada, with numerous and wonderful palaces, courtyards, fountains, and splenderous gardens. It was built over the course of centuries, and became the birthplace of countless legends of opulence, mighty rulers, intrigue, and romance. As in The Standing Stones of Callanish and Land of Merlin, Jon Mark weaves ancient melodies and rhythms into his electronic tapestry, this time portraying the elegance and grandeur of medieval Spain. With classical guitar accents, sounds of harp, trumpet, and the hot desert wind adding vivid colorings, Alhambra is yet another haunting soundtrack to give wings to ever-nomadic imaginations.

Mark’s most recent album is almost a seamless continuation of the softly melodic synthesizer style he established on Standing Stones. Land of Merlin was inspired by Mark’s childhood experiences traveling through the enchanted landscapes of Cornwall, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur and home to his fabled Knights of the Round Table.

AWAKENING is Jim Bajor's debut album coming on the scene in 1987 and being nominated for the New-Age acoustic Grammy Award in that same year. This CD was totally Jim's own effort being recorded by his own label and promoted by himself. It did very well and was on the market for two years. After many years of requests from friends and fans Jim has re-released this CD in May of 2004. This music comes straight from Jim's heart expressing his deepest emotions and feelings after a long periiod of alcoholism and experienceing a spiritual AWAKENING, hence AWAKENING.

Close your eyes and listen and you’ll hear nothing but pure unadulterated acoustic piano. This recording for some reason stirs up a lot of emotions in me. The playing is impecabble with many surprrises in it. It can go from a rather repitious phrase that is like a lullaby then take a turn into a beautiful melody that sounds like a movie theme. If you love piano music you’ll want to add this CD to your collection. The last cut Europa is a rather mysterious sounding piece that I really enjoy.

Deep Forest is a musical group consisting of two French musicians, Michel Sanchez and Eric Mouquet. They compose a new kind of world music, sometimes called ethnic electronica, mixing ethnic with electronic sounds and dance beats or chillout beats. Their sound has been described as an "ethno-introspective ambient world music"[1]. They were nominated for a Grammy Award in 1993 for Best World Music Album[2], and in 1996 they won the Award for the album Boheme. The group also became World Music Awards Winner - French group with the highest 1995 world sales. Their albums have sold over 10 million copies.

Musically energetic, driving, pulsating rhythms and testosterone dripping from the cover! Perhaps that last example is a bit extreme. Nonetheless, this CD rocks with what I call VICTORIOUS MUSIC. Few songs covey success or victory but this CD is packed with them! Put this on when on your way to run, walk-a-thon or even a power lunch or board meeting. You will go into “the race” at least mentally miles ahead of your opponent without even having to break a sweat. Usually not much of a sax man, myself, but this collaboration came out sweetly and does A LOT to add to the overall energy of the album! 5 Stars!

This CD will capture your soul from track number one up to the last one. I purchased this way back in 1993 and until now, I listened to it. Highlights includes: BREAKING AWAY, RETURNING HOME, SONG FOR ANN, and much much more. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! It features Nelson Rangell on sax and flute.
