Roxy Music - Avalon [HSACD - DTS CD] 21st Anniversary Edition
Hybrid SACD Release: Oct 21, 2003 (Orig Year 1982)
Label: Virgin | Serial: 724358387124
Genre: Pop/Rock, Art Rock | Mono/Stereo: Multi Channel
Included : EAC + CUE + Wav + Covers HQ | Size : 450 MB
In the spring of 1982, English rockers Roxy Music's farewell album Avalon was released. The album was the band's only studio album they would record for Warner Bros. here in the States and the first since original drummer Paul Thompson left. He was replaced by studio ace Andy Newmark. The three remaining original members(vocalist Bryan Ferry, guitarist Phil Manzanera and woodwind expert Andy Mackay) crafted together a masterpiece. The album was produced by the band and Rhett Davies and engineered by Bob Clearmountain (Bryan Adams, The Rolling Stones, etc.). The single More Than This is an absolutely gorgeous start to Roxy Music's version of Abbey Road. This was the song that sent me looking for this album after watching VH1 Classic a few weeks ago. I have had the new SACD version since late April and I listen to this album constantly. The Space Between follows and is not that awful Dave Matthews song but is the ultimate break up song. The title cut is one of the best ballads I ever heard and the female backing vocalist is superb at the end and Bryan's crooning is superb. India is a great instrumental and was used as the entrance music during the Avalon tour. While My Heart is Still Beating is a great song as well. To Turn You On is excellent and features Paul Carrack on keyboards. The closing Tara is a beautiful coda to end this album which was the band's biggest seller in the US as it is their only Gold and Platinum album in the States. The CD sounds superb thanks to Bob Ludwig's painstaking remaster of this classic. Bob Clearmountain and original co-producer Rhett Davies give us this great 5.1 remix of Avalon which makes you feel like the band is actually playing in front of you. Also, the remastering that Bob Ludwig did on this Hybrid SACD demolished the previous edition by a longshot! Highly recommended! – Terrence J Reardon

Deep Purple - Stormbringer [DTS 5.1]
The Original Quadraphonic Mix in DTS - Warner Bros Record
Original Release Date: 1975 | Genre: Hard Rock
Included: CUE + Wav + Covers | 373 MB
Stormbringer is the ninth studio album by Deep Purple, released in December 1974. On this album, the soul and funk elements that were only hinted at on Burn are much more prominent. This shift in direction alienated some fans as well as Ritchie Blackmore, who departed the band not long after Stormbringer was released. Many fans consider Stormbringer to be a major turning point in the band, and the mark of an era's end.

Remastered by Tim Young at Metropolis Mastering
| “ | George Martin and his son Giles began work on Love after getting permission from Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, and Olivia Harrison (the latter two representing John Lennon and George Harrison, respectively). In discussing the project, Giles Martin noted that elements were utilized from recordings in The Beatles catalogue, "the original four tracks, eight tracks and two tracks and used this palette of sounds and music to create a soundbed."[1] George Martin also promised a prize to those who could crack a "code" found in the album. Giles Martin said in an interview that he was afraid they wouldn't get the green light to do the project, so he started by making digital back-ups of the original multi-track recordings just to get started on the project. He also said that he and his father mixed more music than was eventually released, including "She's Leaving Home" and a version of "Girl" that he was particularly fond of. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the two surviving members of The Beatles, have responded very positively to the album. McCartney noted that "This album puts The Beatles back together again, because suddenly there's John and George with me and Ringo". Starr commended George and Giles Martin for the album and said that the album is "really powerful for me and I even heard things I'd forgotten we'd recorded." | ” |

Release Date : 1996 Digital Surround DTS 5.1 | Genre: Pop/Rock
Included: EAC + Cue + Wav + Covers | 364 MB | audiophile
A Woman and a Man is the sixth studio album by American singer Belinda Carlisle, released in the United Kingdom on September 23, 1996 by Chrysalis Records. It was the first album Carlisle had released since departing Virgin Records. The album is full of pop rock songs that show how Carlisle's style had matured compared to her earlier releases, written by Rick Nowels, Maria Vidal, Ellen Shipley, Charlotte Caffey, Neil Finn and Roxette cofounder Per Gessle who also produced one of the tracks.
It was released in the United States in 1997 (see 1997 in music) on the Ark 21 Records label. The track listing was different compared to the original; it was only ten tracks long and did not include "Listen to Love", "Love Doesn't Live Here" and "Always Breaking My Heart" but instead had covers of the songs "Jealous Guy" by John Lennon and "The Ballad of Lucy Jordan" by Shel Silverstein.

The Moody Blues - Days Of Future Passed [HDS DTS]
Included : CloneCD image + Covers | audiophile
Release Date : 1967/1997 20Bit High Definition Surround Edition DTS 5.1
Label: Decca Record Company | Number: 710215-4418-2-5 | Genre: Progressive Rock
Channel: Multi Channel | Size: 394 MB | RAR files | RapidShare.com FileServe.com
| “ | The Moody Blues' second album was also their first of what would be a succession of "concept" albums. Inspired by the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper and utilizing the London Festival Orchestra primarily for epic instrumental interludes between songs, Days of Future Passed moved the Birmingham band away from its early R&B roots (as displayed on its debut album with soon-to-depart future Wings member Denny Laine) into uncharted rock territory, making them the early pioneers of both classical and progressive rock. The concept of the 1967 release was very simple, tracing a day in the life from dawn to night, from awakening to sleep. The seven tracks spawned two hit singles--"Tuesday Afternoon" and "Nights in White Satin" (which hit No. 2 four years after the LP's original release) and a prog-rock cottage industry. --Bill Holdship | ” |
