In a last-ditch effort to sow their wild oats, Jack and Miles take off on a final road trip to California's wine country the week prior to Jack's wedding. Both men have goals for the vacation — Miles wants to turn Jack on to the art of wine tasting, while Jack is concerned with exploiting his last days as a bachelor — but when the two men come across two fascinating women (Virginia Madsen and Sandra Oh), the duo is forced to examine their morality, and if maturity isn't such a depressing prospect — or at least, for one of them."

"Richard Meier (born October 12, 1934 in Newark, New Jersey) is a late twentieth century American architect known for his use of the color white. He achieved a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University in 1957, worked for SOM (Skidmore, Owings and Merrill) briefly in 1959, then for Marcel Breuer for three years before starting his own practice in 1963. Identified as one of The New York Five in 1972, his commission of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California catapulted his popularity.
In 1984, Meier was awarded the Pritzker Prize. He also consulted on the design of several buildings that appear in the 2003 city building computer game SimCity 4, making him perhaps the first professional architect ever commissioned to participate in building design for a computer game."

Encyclopedia of Irish History and Culture, 2 volume set, editor in chief: James S. Donnelly
Macmillan Reference, The Gale Group | ISBN 0-02-865989-9 | 2004 | PDF | 78.61 MB or 52.80 MB + 25.81 MB

"The wearing of green on March 17 to celebrate St. Patrick's Day is one of those customs that is followed with little understanding of the Irish history and culture behind it. This collection of historical events corrects that omission. The editors made a conscious effort to limit the number of biographies in the volumes, but one finds the major politicians. The article on the Irish language traces the attempt to reestablish Irish as the national language. The more than 400 signed articles with "see also" references and bibliographies include black-and-white photos, illustrations, maps and charts that are easy to read and understand for high school students. The second volume has the text of many primary documents. If you have a great many students with Irish names or a world history teacher with a deep interest in Ireland who covers the country in depth, this set is highly recommended. It is an excellent resource that might be a shared purchase with the public library."
