Thanks to sorting supplied to me by Virovitica this album falls into Evolution period.
Wikipedia:
Eloy is a German progressive rock band, whose musical style includes symphonic and space rock, the latter theme being more prevalent on earlier albums. The band took their name from the Eloi, a futuristic race of people in the H.G. Wells novel The Time Machine.

Founded in 1969 by guitarist Frank Bornemann, the band has endured several line-up changes, with Bornemann being the only consistent member of the group. In the 1980s, after a series of major splits in the group, Bornemann pursued a more commercial direction. Despite attracting a large following, the band never gained popularity in the United States.

However, in later years, former members of the band re-joined, and in 1998 fans delighted in hearing Ocean 2, a return to the classic symphonic progressive genre that the band was so well known for. A sequel to the 1977's original, it is commonly thought among fans that it successfully recaptures the spirit of the band, and is a worthy follow-up to the much beloved classic.

Of the band's numerous records, fans generally consider Inside, Floating, Dawn, Ocean, Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes, Planets and Ocean 2 to be the superior albums.

Despite their nationality, the band are not generally considered krautrock due to their sound which has much more in common with English progressive groups such as Pink Floyd and Yes.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me present something that you probably already know. ELP!

Wikipedia:
Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) were an English progressive rock group. In the 1970s, the band was extremely popular, selling over 30 million albums and headlining huge concerts.
The trio consisted of:

* Keith Emerson (originally from The Nice) keyboards
* Greg Lake (originally from King Crimson) guitars, bass guitar, vocals
* Carl Palmer (originally from Atomic Rooster) drums, percussion

After playing at a few of the same concerts, Emerson and Lake tried working together and found their styles to be not only compatible, but complementary. They wanted to be a keyboard/bass/drum band, and so searched out a drummer.

Jimi Hendrix was considering joining the group; the British press, after hearing about this, speculated that such a supergroup would have been called "Hendrix, Emerson, Lake & Palmer", or HELP. Before settling on Carl Palmer, they approached Mitch Mitchell of the Jimi Hendrix Experience; Mitchell was uninterested but passed the idea to Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix, tired of his band and wanting to try something different, expressed an interest in playing with the group. Due to scheduling conflicts such plans were not immediately realized, but the initial three planned on a jam session with Hendrix after their second concert at the Isle of Wight Festival (their debut being in Plymouth Guildhall a day or two earlier), with the possibility of him joining. Hendrix died shortly thereafter, so the three pressed on as Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

Wikipedia:
Journey is an American rock band formed in 1973 in San Francisco, California.
The band has gone through several phases since its inception by former members of Santana. The band's greatest commercial success came in the late 1970s through the early 1980s with a series of power ballads and soaring classics.

Journey's roots lie in San Francisco, where in 1971 Santana manager Walter "Herbie" Herbert decided to put together a band of musicians originally called The Golden Gate Rhythm Section. Dissatisfied with the musical direction that Carlos Santana wanted to follow, keyboardist/vocalist Gregg Rolie and guitarist Neal Schon left Santana in 1972. Prairie Prince of The Tubes, Bassist Ross Valory of Frumious Bandersnatch, and rhythm guitarist George Tickner rounded out the group. After an unsuccessful radio contest to name the group (which produced such fascinating entries as "rumpled foreskin"), roadie Jack Villanueva suggested the name "Journey." The band's first public appearance came at Winterland on New Year’s Eve, 1973. The next day, they flew to Hawaii and played the Crater Festival.

Progressive metal

Pain of Salvation grown famous already, there's no need to lengthy introductions. Well, Dream Theater might be better known and welcomed for their technical skill, but it is without any doubts Pain of Salvation who bring diversity, new trends and ideas to this genre. They're the most creative force. Sort of what means Opeth for the death/progressive metal genre.
Wikipedia:
Pain of Salvation is a Swedish progressive metal band featuring Daniel Gildenlöw, who is the lyricist, chief composer, guitarist, and lead vocalist. Their sound is characterised by powerful, accentuated guitar work, broad vocal range, abrupt switching between heavy and calm passages, intense syncopation, and polyrhythmic experimentation. Another trademark of the band is that each album is a concept album. Some examples of the topics addressed in the band's albums are: war and its effect on family and humanity, environmental issues (e.g., nuclear power), the forming of the individual, and the nature of God, humankind, and existence.
The name "Pain of Salvation" was devised by Daniel Gildenlöw, whose intention was to incorporate the notion of balance, which he believed to be of vital significance, e.g. good and bad, light and dark, life and death; pain and salvation.

Rock / A.O.R.

I am continuing publishing Frontiers records this time - at least for now. These guys are really good on hard rock (and melodic) stuff!

Wikipedia:
Cosmo is a rock band that was formed by Fran Cosmo and Anthony Cosmo, both former members of the rock band Boston.
Cosmo was originally formed in the mid 1990's shortly after Fran's return from Boston's highly anticipated 1994 Walk On tour. The group experimented within the realm of Post-Grunge and Brit-Pop which controlled the radio, and it was in this time period that the group recorded several songs which would eventually be released on Boston's "Corporate America" Album. On January 13, 1999, Tom Scholz, Brad Delp and Fran Cosmo appeared on Rockline Radio to debut two of these songs; concurrently introducing Anthony Cosmo as the newest member of Boston. The new material included an extended version of Cosmo's "Turn it Off' (which lacked several guitar and organ solos found in the final cut) and 'Timebomb', which was not included on Corporate America. However, masterfully edited and 80's guitar-laced versions of Cosmo's "Turn it Off", "Cryin'" and "Stare Out Your Window" would ultimately appear on Corporate America as a massive departure from the rest of the songs on the disc. Following the subsequent Corporate America tour, Fran and Antonio departed from the band and re-formed Cosmo in its current form.

Hard rock

home:
You can call it Hard Rock, Heavy Rock, Biker Rock, Classic Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Sleazy Rock, Hippy-Trippy-Folk Rock, Garage Rock, Punk Rock…
Whatever, it still ROCKS! Which is exactly what G M T do best.
Effortlessly, in fact.

On the surface, a simple three-piece, yet the pedigree of the members is unbeatable:

Bernie Tormé – Guitar God/ Psychedelic Shredmeister/ Glam Punk Sleaze Rock Frontman. Universally known for heroically stepping in & saving the day for Ozzy Osbourne, when Randy Rhoads tragically died, world tours & international fame as lead axe-man in Gillan; also forming the nucleus of Desperado with Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider & ex Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, as well as fronting his own bands Electric Gypsies/ Torme (with Phil Lewis of L.A. Guns/ Girl fame), Bernie is renowned for bringing his punk vibe to the arenas. He’s also an Irish nutcase.

John McCoy – Lead Bass/ Living Legend/ Larger Than Life. Quite frankly who John hasn’t played with, written for, or produced over the years isn’t worth writing about! A small few include Gillan, Mammoth, Samson, Joey Belladonna (Anthrax), U.K. Subs, Atomic Rooster, Sun Red Sun etc etc. A man mountain with a huger sound, it should also be known that John McCoy has played on over 50 albums...!

Wikipedia:
Uriah Heep are an English rock band, formed in December 1969 when record producer Gerry Bron invited keyboardist Ken Hensley (previously a member of The Gods and Toe Fat) to join Spice, a band signed to his own Bronze Records label.

Sometimes jokingly referred to as "The Beach Boys of heavy metal" for their melodic songs, and trademark multi-part harmony backing vocals, although their music draws on diverse influences including: progressive rock, hard rock, heavy metal, jazz and even country on occasion. As one of the first bands to fuse prog with metal, they are a precursor to the progressive metal genre. In spite of their huge popularity in Britain and continental Europe, Uriah Heep were never able to break into the American market in a big way, with the exception of three hit songs, "Easy Livin' " from the 1972 album Demons and Wizards, "Sweet Lorraine" from the 1972 album The Magician's Birthday (a top ten album in Australia), and "Stealin' " from the 1973 release Sweet Freedom. The band released several commercially successful albums in the 1970s, including the seminal Uriah Heep Live (1973), but their audience declined during the 1980s, to the point where they became essentially a cult band in the US and UK. Uriah Heep maintain a significant following in Germany, the Netherlands, the Scandinavian Peninsula, the Balkan Peninsula, Japan and Russia, where they still perform at stadium-sized venues.

melodicrock:
Aldo Giuntini's career began at the start of the 80's when he founded CRYIN' EARTH, a Progressive Rock group who played their own brand of refined and complex music that attracted a dedicated and coherent following. The legendary concert at International Film Studio, attended by some of the most respected progressive music experts, was Giuntini's farewell to CRYIN' EARTH.
His decision brought him to move into the newly-born Italian Heavy Metal scene. From 1984 to 1987 he mainly concentrated on perfecting his distinctive sound going on to build up a new band called SKY DRIVERS. But soon he realized that the only way to develop his ideas unadulterated was to make his name as a solo artist.

Giuntini's second album also got a very ample international recognition and gave Aldo the spotlight he deserved for his music. Finally after another few years of hard work the new GIUNTINI PROJECT album simply entitled “III” hits the market. Winning team should not change, so Aldo called again Tony Martin to handle lead vocals and secured the help of Ezio Secomandi (on drums), Dario Patti (on keyboards) and Fulvio Gaslini (on bass) to achieve the perfect results. And this time he released another gem of classic Hard & Heavy Music which cannot be missed by all traditional rock fans!

ALIAS' FREDDY CURCI RETURNS WITH ZION:

ZION is Freddy Curci's brand new project/band set to bring back his magical voice on an all new material that could resemble the best production of his ALIAS and SHERIFF days.

Freddy Curci is arguably one of the best vocalists in Rock History. He's got the combination of vocal talents that all singers strive for. He can sing a ballad with a beautiful, smooth voice like Steve Perry of Journey or Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon and then turn around and belt out rocker with a rough edge on his voice like Brad Delp of Boston.

He started his career in SHERIFF recording a classic album in 1979 and (four years later!) having a number one song in the USA charts, called "When I'm With You". That song put Freddy into the World Records Book for holding a note for almost 30 seconds!

History:
In 1971, Glen Cornick took the momentous step of leaving Jethro Tull having played bass on their first three albums: "This Was", "Stand Up", and "Benefit". He left a group that is undoubtedly one of the world's most influential and viable products of seventies rock to face a challenge that most musicians would find daunting. He left to find the musical freedom he felt he needed to extend his musical creativity. A founder member of Jethro, Glenn had started to write songs that were not compatible with the musical identity of Jethro and rather than remain just playing bass with them, he decided to go his own way.
Lineup:
o Glenn Cornick - bass
o Tweke Lewis - guitar
o Jon Blackmore - guitar, vocals
o Jeff Jones - drums
o Gary Pickford-Hopkins - vocals (acoustic guitar and harmonica on "Stealer Of Years")

Ian Crichton is the band's guitarist; apart from his work with Saga, he has recorded several solo albums as well as sessions with Asia. The band's keyboardist, Jim "Daryl" Gilmour, replaced Greg Chadd in 1980 (Chadd replaced original member Peter Rochon--who left the band to become a full-time music equipment company executive--after the first album).

Originally known as The Pockets, Saga formed in 1977 from the nucleus of Canadian rock band Fludd. In June 1978, they released their self-titled debut album. A modest success in Canada, it would eventually sell over 30,000 copies in Germany as an import. It also became a major seller in Puerto Rico, after a local stereo equipment store featured the guitar-keyboard duet of the band's single, "Humble Stance" as part of its radio advertisements. Their 1979 follow-up album Images at Twilight gave them their first charting single in Canada with the song "It's Time" peaking at #84 in the Canadian Charts.
