A man kills his brother. Was it an act of cold blooded murder or self defense? Based on a controversial murder trial in Hong Kong, this courtroom drama depicts the conflicts and abuse of two brothers leading to the imminent murder. The whole family is afraid of Wah, and with good reason. He threatens to kill his parents if the don’t open the door right now, throws his wife onto the bed (which she doesn’t seem to mind), beats up anyone whenever he feels like it, snorts cocaine, renders his younger brother Toh impotent by a well-aimed punch, sexually assaults Toh’s girlfriend Jenny, and even rapes his ageing mother. And just in case you fail to pick up on this guy being a complete demonic bastard, he rams home the point by yelling almost all the time, laughing manically, and singing about drugs and sex as he indulges. (Subtle it ain’t !) All of which is told in staggered flashbacks during a murder trial. There is some tension early on, but this completely evaporates when it becomes clear that the deceased is the completely-evil Wah. After that, you can be assured that nobody would find guilty the tormented younger brother Toh, who stands accused. Even the prosecutor seems more interested in making eyes at the defence.

Mao Wei returns from the Yenwon Reformatory Division, to find his former love, Annie (Vivian Hsu), well on the way to marrying another man. He prevents the marriage and works his way back into her heart. Soon after, they marry. Still a virgin, Annie is looking to finally make love to her husband. Unfortunately, flashbacks to his brutal treatment in prison, prevents him from being able to fulfill their mutual wish. Feeling inadequate and depressed, he leaves Annie, wishing for her to find another man. She eventually does, but still longs for Mao Wei. After becoming pregnant by the other man, she finds Mao Wei and begs him to return and father the baby.

Chi Kit worked in a stock company. One day, the stock market crashed and Chi Kit ran into bankruptcy. He called his girlfriend Siu Suen and told her everything. Siu Suen loved Chi Kit so much that she took all her savings and ran away with him to Singapore to hide away from their debts. Unfortunately, Chi Kit met a wealthy woman with an interesting proposal, and it changed everything.

1941 Hong Kong on Fire tells the story of a family affected by the Japanese invasion of Hong Kong during World War II. The movie begins with an interesting approach, using interviews and newsreel footage to set up the story, but this more serious, documentary-like approach is let down by some very dopey comedy. In fact, the first half-hour or so is much more of a family “dramedy” rather than the usual blood and boobs one expects from Wong Jing. But all of that changes in one scene. A guy comes in and announces “the Japanese devils are coming”, and sure enough, within thirty seconds, they kick in the doors and proceed to rape and kill everyone.

Luscious-lipped virgin Ching is sold to Miss Ng’s brothel. Kong invents contraptions to make sex more “funny”, and is secretly in love with Ng. Ching is attracted to Kong’s assistant, the handsome Ting Yat. Yuen King Tan does her usual wacky best as Bamboo, whose huge tits once killed a man (he suffocated) and she hasn’t had a customer since. After Ching’s virginity auction, Bamboo gives Ching some Soul Freezing Wine, so that she’ll act bitchy. There’s a foreign whore in town, who’s stealing Ng’s business, but Kong sends Yat to fix her, after giving him a power potion. Someone is raping girls in the village, and Magistrate Chin comes to investigate, but pays more attention to Ng than the case. Tsui Kam Kong puts in an appearance as the kidnapping rapist, and Kong reveals his love for Ng, and they grow closer.

An honorable Hong Kong gangster returns after years of self-imposed exile, eager to pick up his business dealings where they left off. But, naturally, things are not as they were his girlfriend, best friend, and former boss have all shifted loyalties. A pedestrian entry in the gangster melodrama genre.
A popular theory with internet critics is that Quentin Tarantino ripped off much of the plot for his debut Reservoir Dogs from Ringo Lam’s City on Fire. So it would only seem fitting that a Hong Kong filmmaker would return the favor by lifting some elements from one of his movies. Hunting List is pretty brazen with this; a couple of sequences (most notably the finale) are done almost word-for-word as they were in the Tarantino-scripted True Romance. Other than that, there’s really not much of note in this Category III triad drama. There’s lots of sex and violence (they must have ordered the “extra juicy” squibs for this movie), but the acting is poor; everyone seems to be either crying, yelling or laughing maniacally. The biggest culprit is the plot, which is the whole tired “undercover cop in too deep” thing all over again, and still manages to not make much sense at all.

Producer/Writer/Director/Star Julie Lee brings us this tale of revenge and lots of sex. A woman–having been raped repeatedly by her relatives as a girl–seduces, screws, and then kills as many men as possible–perhaps in an attempt to break the current “anger sex” world record. Seems like it would be more efficient to simply kill all the men rather than screwing them first, since she supposedly hates sex so much… Serial rapists and murderers are such hypocrites!

Hung and Ann (Pauline Chan and Rena Murakami) are down-on-their luck prostitutes trapped in Hong Kong. Pauline’s boyfriend, Sam, (Alex Fong) back in China, who is under the impression that she is away working at a factory, is double-crossed by Billy Chow, and while looking to escape; flees for Hong Kong and winds up at the Brothel where Pauline is employed. He is crushed when he finds out the truth, but by this point, everyone involved on all sides is too deeply involved to turn back. This is the type of movie that could only come from HK. It combines plenty of gory fighting, romance, violent A great rape scenes and comedy, all into one. A grand finale, where those who haven’t already been killed fight it out on a construction site. In summary; heaps of sex and violence-has a few great bits, but not recommended for the weak-hearted.

A woman is raped on the way home from a party, and her dick-bag boyfriend who is a cop is worried about how he’ll be viewed amongst his peers now that his girl is tainted- goods, so he convinces her not to report the incident. After being checked out by her doctor-the chick finds out she has VD-and instead of going to the clinic for some meds- she kills herself instead. Her douche of a boyfriend is upset about her death so he goes after the guys that raped her…

Loletta Lee plays a model who, judging by her lavish home, is making a fortune doing TV commercials. When her boyfriend/boss comes over and tries to get romantic, Loletta begins seeing weird and scary visions. Visions of blood flooding her floor, and a three year old boy ghost. It seems that, three years earlier, she was pregnant and caught her husband (Poon Chan Wai) athletically knocking off a blonde. Husband kicked her down the stairs, which causes her to abort. The ghost is evidently the aborted baby grown up. Back to the present day, hubby has teamed up with a new girl (Joanna Chan), and is trying to get back into the house and kidnap the boy ghost. Warning : Due to a combination of no subtitles and a confusing storyline, some of this is guesswork.

A model training center is set up by Lady Rose, which aims to provide s3x partners for men with high social status. However, Lady Rose’s main purpose is to blackmail the reputable men for money. A fashion show of undergarment is held, Lady Rose’s models appear in their s3xiest and most seductive und3rwear, and men cannot stop looking for partners. The dirty business of Lady Rose is finally exposed and shakes up the city when a model is killed…

A powerful and unpredictable suspense drama about three ordinary people thrown together on a collision course to tragedy. Based on a true story. The first Cat III movie to win a major award in HK, the Golden Horse Award for Best Actress went to Carrie Ng. American Chinese Billy Chan is a handsome, loathsome, manipulative, and they’re just his good qualities ! No wonder he has three luscious women competing for his attention. Lisa is an air hostess who supplies him with cocaine. Judy Yu has just lost her husband (who ran off to Japan with his girlfriend), and moves in next door to Billy and Lisa. Then there’s bible student Annie Cheung, who visits both Billy and Judy in prison, where they await trial, not for murder, but disrespect of a corpse (Lisa, in whose murder they are the chief suspects). Prosecutor K S “Mel” Wong keeps dreaming about the murdered girl, and starts questioning those involved, and says “Sorry, no deals” a lot. The same story, with a different treatment, was used in the film Legal Innocence.

Loletta Lee goes Category III in this sleazy romp about a young girl and her discoveries about love, sex, and how it imparts on the subtle, empowering exhortations of her soul. Blah, blah, blah. In actuality, this uninspired romantic comedy is just lightweight fluff about Jane (Loletta Lee), who skips her overseas trip to school and hikes around Hong Kong. Along the way, she plays voyeur, is nearly assaulted, fools a couple of ugly older men (Shing Fui-On and Tommy Wong, who thankfully don’t get involved in any Category III action), and meets a really nice guy (Poon Jan-Wai). And sleeps with him.

After getting kicked out of med school for cheating, Yik-sang makes a living as a fisherman on one of Hong Kong’s outlying islands. Desperate for female companionship, Yik-sang buys a Mainland bride named Chi (Lee). An intellectual who suffered through hell during the Cultural Revolution, Chi believes that the worst of her life is over. Yet when she is subjected to Yik-sang’s bizarre medical examinations and his fiery temper tantrums, she realizes that she is mistaken. She finds solace in the arms of hunky vegetable salesman Un (Chan Wai-dik) and soon they are having regular trysts amid masses of writhing eels. When Yik-sang’s aunt tries to blackmail them, Un kills her and disposes of the body. Soon other bodies start piling up.

Lily Chung portrays a misunderstood teenager sexually abused by her stepfather on a one-track road to murder and bloodshed. Captain Lui is excited that a multiple killing has occurred in his district. He surveys the incredibly gory crime scene and does his best to pack it with the cruelest, sickest gallows humour imaginable. Example : a girl’s body lies in the bath, strangled with a scarf (this is the one who blinks !). Lui takes the scarf and wipes his face with it. Lui questions the only survivor, Mak Wei Fong, with an equal lack of consideration. Her story of abuse by her demonic father and the brutal indifference of her family unfolds…
