And, as your mind rewinds the music man\'s blazing singles of yesteryear, you easily remember when those songs were the soundtrack to your life.

This new record thinks that an album includes value in the place to listen to with a set of the music. An impression totally different from conventional "Kaori Kobayasi" is left. It is my sense, but there is not softness. Her performance is powerful, however the transparent impression consists in the whole album. Probably I think that I do not disappear from my memory as an excellent record.

Yinon Muallem, a composer and a percussionist, carries two souls – one Jewish and the other Turkish. Nine years ago, Yinon went to live in Istanbul, a move that marked the beginning of a fascinating and unique musical journey. Among other achievements, he produced five albums of his own compositions, collaborated with some of the most prominent Turkish musicians, performed for the prime minister of Turkey and as a soloist with the Tekfen Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, and initiated collaborations between Israeli and Turkish musicians, both in Turkey and Israel.

This decent, if conventional, CD shows Carcassés to be a swinging hard bop pianist who uses Afro-Cuban rhythms extensively...
