Little Feat - Feats Don't Fail Me Now - 1974 - 24/96 Vinyl - Hi-Fi Today Nimbus Supercut - K 56030
FLAC | 24bit | 96Khz | Stereo | 718 MB - 5% recovery
Rapidshare | Classic Rock

Nimbus Supercut LPs were released as part of a special promotion available only to readers of Practical Hi-Fi and Hi-Fi today magazines in the UK during the early 1980s (this one was released for Hi-Fi Today). The records were only available in limited quantities and are now even rarer than releases from Mobile Fidelity, Nautilus, DCC and similar. Nimbus Records established the need for high quality record releases, as most mainstream vinyl at the time was haphazardly mastered from poor master copies and pressed on poor quality recycled vinyl. In contrast with this release, Nimbus Records went back to the original master tapes for an all-analog pressing, at half speed, for the best version of 'Feats Dont Fail Me Now' ever available. Nimbus Records also had the ICI company produce an extremely pure vinyl for the LPs, which has better frequency reproduction and is virtually noise free. Their pressings have dynamics and pack a punch that will blow your socks off!

Joni Mitchell - The Hissing Of Summer Lawns - 1975 - 24/96 - 180g Speakers Corner Vinyl - Asylum 7E 1051

Audiophile Mastering
This is an audiophile release which was mastered from the original tapes (rather than several generation copies as with many other releases) and is pressed on high quality 180 gram weight vinyl by Speakers Corner which has almost no surface noise. As a result of this care, this pressing is arguably the best sounding release of the album available. On comparison with a standard CD and LP releases, this LP pressing sounds much more natural and full of life. The original definitive release of this album on LP was the Nimbus Supercut pressing, but not any more. Even in comparison to that rare release that sells for much more, this new release sounds much better. Truly the ultimate release and as a bonus it is complete with high quality original artwork sleeve and LP labels.

Santana - Abraxas On Numbered Limited Edition 180 gram Vinyl From Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs

One of rock’s true masterpieces, this stunning sophomore effort was released in September, 1970 to unanimous accolades and went to Number One on the Billboard Pop Album chart. Utilizing the studio more in overall production than on their debut (especially in mixing and using cross-fades) the band and producer Fred Catero (Janis Joplin, BS&T, Chicago) still maintained the street energy and ethnic roots, while elevating Carlos’ guitar passages to god-like status; resulting in the pinnacle of their album output. Wicked re-worked arrangements of songs as dichotomatic as the connecting of Peter Green’s "Black Magic Woman" with Gabor Szabo’s" Gypsy Queen" in medley, followed directly in sequence on side one with Tito Puente’s" Oye Como Va" (charting at #13), was both brilliant and on-par with anything going down in music at the time, period.

Hugely rare original issue. This Nimbus Supercut LP was released as part of a special promotion available only to readers of Hi-Fi Today, and was only available in limited quantities now even rarer than releases from Mobile Fidelity, Nautilus, DCC and similar.
Nimbus Records established the need for high quality record releases, as most mainstream vinyl at the time was haphazardly mastered from poor third generation masters and pressed on poor quality recycled vinyl. In contrast, Nimbus Records had ICI produce an extremely pure vinyl, which has amazing frequency reproduction and almost no surface noise!
They also went back to the original Stereo master tape for this release and used an all-tube mastering process, for arguably the best version of this album ever available.
