Seriously catchy jailbait power pop from Detroit, Nikki & the Corvettes mixed punk thump with girl-group innocence and 1960s pop jangle to create a genuinely timeless sound. Though they never cracked the charts in any way during their brief existence in the late '70s/early '80s, their sound can be heard all over the various pop-tinged punk acts of the '90s and 2000s, especially kindred spirits the Donnas. A true delight.

This 32-tracks official compilation is a fine introduction to one of glam rock's leading artists. Every track is good/great/wonderful. You can't go wrong with such glam standards as "Rock & Roll Pt. 2", "Do You Wanna Touch Me", "Leader Of The Gang", "Doing Alright With the Boys", and "Oh Yes! You're Beautiful", which are all included here in their mascara-caked glory. This 2 CD set is the best Gary Glitter compilation on the market.

It has absolute different mastering than early WG, US or Canadian discs and their sound completely different to all other versions and have a real warmth about them. Any Kiss fan who considers themselves an audiophile and listens to CD's should have them.
