Hit is a 2003 compilation album. It reached #29 in the UK album charts and #100 in the US. Disc one is labelled Hit and disc two Miss, reflecting the first disc's containing several of Gabriel's biggest-selling singles.

Ava Cherry was a young cat walk model working the paris fashion shows when she bumped into David Bowie in 1973 at the tail end of his Ziggy Stardust period. Ava sang backing vocals at Bowie’s 1980 Floor Show TV broadcast and was the inspiration behind the song Rebel Rebel.
