The version of Desire which appears on the single releases is the same as the album version with the exception that the sound bite featuring Adam Clayton on the album is removed before the song begins.

The version of Angel of Harlem which appears on the single releases is very slightly remixed. The horns are edited to be louder in the overall mix. The musical tracks used for the single version seem to be identical except for the changes in volume in the final mix. The track is labelled as a remix on some versions, and not on others, but it is indeed the same version on all releases.

All I Want is You was the final song released to promote Rattle and Hum. The single contained both an Edit version and the original album version with the strings portion intact. The longer version also made it to the Best of 1980-1990 release.

I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For followed With or Without You as a hit in the charts around the world. It's been a popular song since it's release as part of U2's live show, being retired for the inital legs of U2's Elevation tour, but reappearing in the third leg shows from that tour.

With or Without You was the first single from the Joshua Tree. It headed straight for the top of the charts around the world, reaching the top five in the US, Canada, and Europe.

The version of Where the Streets Have No Name which appears on this release is a different mix than that appearing on the Joshua Tree album. It features additional backing vocals not heard on the album release. The version which appeared on the Best of 1980-1990 was an edit of the album version, and not the same as this single version.

Last Night on Earth was released just as the Popmart tour was starting to find its stride. The track was reworked for the single release. U2 had commented several times that Pop felt unfinished, this was corrected somewhat in the single versions of tracks rerecorded in the midst of the tour. Last Night on Earth was the first track to be reworked.

U2's only non-album single in the 1990s was released as the first track from the Batman Forever soundtrack. Originally approached to bring his MacPhisto character to life on the silver screen for the movie, Bono instead offered to contribute to the soundtrack.

A bit of an oddball single for U2. Released three months in advance of the album it would promote, October - the interesting thing about this release is how it appeared under two different names upon release. In Ireland and the UK it was released under the name "Fire", but in Germany it was released under the name "U2 R.O.K." a pun on the phrase "U2 Are OK".

New Year's Day, the first single from War, is the first single released simultaneously around the world.

Pride (In the Name of Love) on this single is different than the version found on the album, and is longer than the album version. 4th of July is also longer than the album version.

Sunday Bloody Sunday was released in Europe when Two Hearts Beat as One was released in the UK, US, Australia, France and Ireland. Both were released in Japan.
The cover art for the main releases in Europe was the same as the artwork used for Two Hearts in it's releases.

This is an interesting release for fans to track down the various versions. Although only marked "Love Comes Tumbling" on the cover, there were three different versions of the song released of this recording.

One would not anticipate a conventional memoir from Bob Dylan--indeed, one would not have foreseen an autobiography at all from the pen of the notoriously private legend. What Chronicles: Volume 1 delivers is an odd but ultimately illuminating memoir that is as impulsive, eccentric, and inspired as Dylan's greatest music.

Bob Dylan and the RTR played two shows at the Warehouse in New Orleans on May 3rd, 1976. The evening show is sourced from an excellent quality soundboard recording. The sound quality on this is a considerable improvement over all previous release and can be considered definitive.
