The Moody Blues - Seventh Sojourn [2008 Remastered+Expanded] (1972)
Flac (separate files)+CUE+LOG | 460 MB | Full Booklet & Cover Scans (PNG 300 dpi) included
Genre: Progressive Rock

Seventh Sojourn stands up, to this day, as one of The Moody Blues' best works, as well as one of the finest albums in rock history. Spawning so many hits, it is no wonder why not only I, but scores of Moody Blues fans out there, rate this one so highly among their favorites. Well and truly a classic!

Tangerine Dream - Ricochet (1975)
Flac (separate files)+CUE+LOG | 230 MB | Covers (PNG 300 dpi) included
Genre: Berlin School Electronic

Perhaps more than any other album in their catalog, I would cast my vote for Ricochet as the prototype of the classic Tangerine Dream sound; the music that probably first runs through most the heads of those who have some familiarity with the band. Although it sounds to me a little more unidimensional relative to its two immediate predecessors Phaedra and Rubycon (perhaps it's the unrelenting constancy of key), the album offers a pleasing number of contrasts in dynamic and when the piece hits its climactic sections, the layering of sounds to emerge really catches the ear. Sound quality is excellent.

Bruce Hornsby - Harbor Lights (1993)
Flac (separate files)+CUE+LOG | 343 MB | Covers (PNG 300 dpi) - 43 MB
Genre: Jazz

"Harbor Lights" marks the fourth album by Bruce Hornbsy. Hornsby pioneered something that has been called "The Virginia Sound". The best way I can describe this sound is a mixture of a lot of different genres of music: Jazz, Classical, Bluegrass, Rock, Country, and Pop. In the past, Hornsby incorporated a wide range of instruments in the songs to give this such a distinct sound: Mandolin, Guitar, Violin, Piano, and even Harmonica. On his first two albums ( "The Way It Is" and "Scenes From the Southside" ), if I had to pick a strong influence from those genres - I would probably lean toward Bluegrass. For his third album, "A Night On The Town", Hornsby began to emphasize Rock and to a lesser extent Jazz. For "Harbor Lights", Hornsby definitely turns things more toward the Jazz side.

Bryan Ferry - Dylanesque Live: The London Sessions (2007)
DVDRip (Avi) | XviD | 720 x 416 | AC3 48 Khz, 448 Kbps avg., 6 channels | 29.970 fps | 1645 MB | Covers & Booklet Scans (PNG 300 dpi) included
Genre: Rock

Dylanesque Live: The London Sessions not only captures Ferry and his band performing the album live (for the camera – not an audience), it also gives insight into the rationale for and creation process of the project. Thankfully, as the interviews with Ferry make clear, his reasons for making the album were noble. As he explains, Dylan is an artist like Donne or Shakespeare, one whose work grows in mystique and quality with the passage of time. In essence, the versions on Dylanesque are Ferry’s interpretations of Dylan’s songs, much like an actor would interpret a Shakespearean monologue.

Bryan Ferry - Dylanesque [CD + Live DVD] (2007)
CD: Flac (separate files)+CUE+LOG | 263 MB | Covers & Booklet Scans (PNG 300 dpi) - 53 MB
DVD: Full Range DVD5 (VIDEO_TS) | 4.23 GB | Covers & Booklet Scans (PNG 300 dpi) - 133 MB
Genre: Rock

As a long-time and avid fan of Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry, I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical of the thought of Bryan Ferry doing a whole album of Dylan music. But - his interpretations of each song is brilliant! Ferry puts his heart and soul into each song. It is obvious that he is 'into' it. He plays more harmonica than ever before, and is 'soulful'. The band, overall, is tight and each version of Dylan's songs, actually, improves somewhat on the originals.

Sufjan Stevens - The Avalanche [Outtakes & Extras from the Illinois Album] (2006)
Flac (separate files)+CUE+LOG | 480 MB | Covers (300 dpi) included
Genre: Indie Rock

Since Illinois had initially been conceived as a double-disc set, it's somewhat less astounding that these "outtakes and extras" often sound like they would fit smoothly into the "real" album's tracklist. Stevens also went back to retool and polish once he decided to release The Avalanche, so it's not like these are just scraps from the cutting room floor. Brief instrumental sketches like "Inaugural Pop Music for Jane Margaret Byrne" feel somewhat unrealized, but are the sorts of quirky, pace-setting interludes to which Stevens has often gravitated. Doing a final tally at the end, it turns out that there's about the same number of good songs on The Avalanche as on Illinois, although the very best of the batch was cherry-picked for the latter.

Justin Hayward - Moving Mountains [1996 Reissue] (1985)
Flac (separate files)+CUE+LOG | 290 MB | Covers (PNG 600 dpi) | 122 MB
Genre: Rock

Bruce Eder, All Music Guide wrote:
A partial return to form for Hayward, with a lushly orchestrated sound that makes this record more representative of The Moody Blues than much of that band's actual output during the early '80s. Sort of Hayward's personal follow-up to Days of Future Passed, and nicely done but very dated for a '80s album.

Armik - Treasures (2004)
EAC Image (FLAC+CUE+LOG) | 407 MB | Covers (PNG 300 dpi) included
Genre: Flamenco

Amazon.com wrote:

Armik takes some new approach in this album. I heard a bit world element and jazzy background. But I felt his guitar style, although still with excellent talent, has still not try new things so it sound not different than many of his previous works. Almost all songs in this album is very active and lively, so pick this if you're looking for a music with uplifting mood. I have to mention that the last song, Mi Guitarra, is the one of the most amazing solo I ever heard, extremely fast Paco De Lucia-like playing. Armik is one of the few guitarist I know who can play very fast and still retain beautiful melody and emotions in the music.

With "Cafe Romantico", Armik's sixth recording for Bolero Records, and his second romantic recording, Armik underscores the passionate elegance of his music with intelligence and beauty. On "Cafe Romantico", Armik pours passion and creativity into every song he plays. Armik, who is primarily known for his impressive Nuevo Flamenco style and guitar techniques, mixes Latin jazz elements with flamenco rhythms, colorful romantic textures and adventurous guitar voicings. "Cafe Romantico" is a genuine jewel with sophisticated vivid rhythms, fluid and melodic classical lyricism, great warmth and lots of romantic fire. Armik - one of the world's finest and best selling Nuevo Flamenco master guitarists.

Armik - Mi Pasión (2006)
EAC Image (FLAC+CUE+LOG) | 329 MB | Covers (300 dpi) included
Genre: Flamenco

Guitar Nine Records wrote:

As one of the most admired Nuevo Flamenco guitarists on the music scene, Armik has acquired and shared a beautiful repertoire of rhythmical forms that make up Flamenco, Jazz, Latin and World music styles on eight chart-topping recordings. With "Mi Pasion", Armik's musical genius is once again on full display on 11 new songs. On his previous albums, guitarist Armik has demonstrated a unique style that places passionate Flamenco finger-picking in a soothing, almost new-age setting. For "Mi Pasion" he favors upbeat, heat-creating numbers that draw on his rhythmic strengths and a more percussive right-hand technique. The result is a highly romantic album that sounds even better in the dark.

Escape to a musical euphoria with Armik's "Amor De Guitarra". Experience Armik's guitar mastery and his captivating inimitable style. Feel his passionate exuberance and his gifted artistry. With "Amor De Guitarra", the visionary artist Armik once again offers his listeners several innovative developments captured by his love of the guitar. In this semi-autobiographical catalogue of compositions, Armik fills in the blanks regarding his musical passions. The title track is a highly romantic ballad that features Armik's loving string virtuosity beautifully placed at the forefront. This is one of the most beautiful love songs on the program, and is a true testament that Armik's love, respect, knowledge and joy towards his music are obvious. Reminiscent of a moonlit stroll along a lover's path.

Armik - Rubia (1996)
Flac (separate files)+CUE+LOG | 369 MB | Covers (PNG) - 27 MB
Genre: Flamenco

I enjoyed the 'Rain Dancer' for nearly six months after I had received it from Amazon and then I ordered 'Gypsy Flame' that contained some wonderful tunes. I have listening to 'Rubia' for more than three months now and I must say that although I thought 'Rain Dancer' was the album of the millennium and still do, 'Rubia' is very nearly its equal. The mastery of the flamenco guitar plus the incredible and immense talent for conjuring up tunes and melodies of unheard passion and warmth made 'Rubia' a joy forever for me.

"Rain Dancer" is an absolutely brilliant piece of acoustic/flamenco/jazz/latin masterpiece. So good, I've only sampled 'for annette' and i parted my money.
