American Vampire #7 (Ongoing)
CBZ | Vertigo (DC) | Released Oct 7 2010 | 24 Pages (No Ads) | 18.80 MB
+ American Vampire #1-6 (Complete)

Writer Scott Snyder is showing that even without horror master Stephen King, he is capable of maintaining the high standards the first story arc has set in this second issue of the second story arc of this new ongoing about a new species of vampire. He sustains the interest after his focus shift and with the sort of interplay between his main characters, American Vampire has become a comic book that you cannot put down--nor pin down and second-guess. As with the first six issues, another HQ Minutemen scan.

Tales of the Dragon Guard: Into the Veil #1-2 (of 3)
2 CBZ's | Marvel Comics | Release Dates Sep 15 - Oct 20 2010 | 110.66 MB Total

This is Marvel's 3-issue limited series republication in English (for North America) of the French multi-volume (10 at last count) heroic fantasy series La Geste Des Chevaliers Dragons by Ange and published by Soleil Productions, with a different artist for each volume. The original series itself has certain novel features and is a wonderful piece of work, where the script alternates between riveting action pieces to political intrigue and betrayal to heartbreaking loss to inspiring feats of courage. Briones' artwork in issue #1 is a revelation, and Christian Paty's in issue #2 is just as good. All around a great surprise and with 50+ pages per issue, more than worth the download. Though intended for mature readers, highly recommended. Both high-quality Minutemen-DTs scans.

Black Gas Volume 2 #1-3 Complete
3 CBR's in RAR | Avatar Press | Published 2006 - 2007 | 54.48 MB Total

Black Gas is a two-volume comic book mini-series written by Warren Ellis, illustrated by Max Fiumara, and published by Avatar Press from 2006 to 2007. The first volume deals with two lovers trapped on an island where a Black Gas has turned the residents into zombie-like monsters. The second volume deals with the effects of the Black Gas on the mainland. Each volume consists of three issues. Each issue was published with one standard and three variant covers (Terror, Gore, and Wraparound). Black Gas is Warren Ellis' take on the zombie mythos; as such it is ultra-violent, bloody, gory--some would even call it sick. And it predates Garth Ennis' Crossed by more than 3 years. Ellis said that "Blackgas" got its start from a request by Avatar's Editor-In-Chief William Christiansen. "William has a thing about zombies," said Ellis. "He's been after me for years to write him a zombie book. A ways back, I broke down and devised 'Blackgas,' specifically for him. It's basically me writing a book for my friend to read. Because my friend is sick in the head, it has disgusting violence and gutbusting horror in it. That's the whole deal, really. Sometimes it's just as simple as that."

Black Panther Vol. 3 #1-62 Complete
62 CBR's in 4 RAR's | Marvel Comics | Published Nov 1998 - Sep 2003 | 399.09 MB Total

The Black Panther (T'Challa) is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and penciller-co-plotter Jack Kirby, he first appeared in Fantastic Four #52 (July 1966). He is the first black superhero in mainstream American comics, debuting several years before such early African-American superheroes as the Falcon, Storm, Luke Cage, Blade, Tyroc, Black Lightning and John Stewart. At the series' start reactions were mixed, due mainly to series writer Christopher Priest's deliberately tangled narrative approach. Towards the series' end there was a dip in quality as the focus shifted. As a whole, however, and with the benefit of the passage of time, Black Panther Volume 3 came to be praised for its "wit, sharp characterization, narrative sophistication and explosive splash panels (courtesy of artist Mark Texeira)", transforming an under-used super-powered character into a complex cross-cultural superhero icon. One for the avid comics fan.
