Believe is the second studio album by Australian guitarist Orianthi and her debut album recorded for a major label. It was released on October 26, 2009 by Geffen Records. The album's release was pushed back by Geffen to coincide with the compilation album This Is It by Michael Jackson, as a result of the publicity generated from her appearance in the concert film of the same name. The album peaked at number 77 at the Billboard 200.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack album to the upcoming film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. It is the third soundtrack in the film's chronology, and was released on June 8, 2010. The soundtrack is once again produced by Alexandra Patsavas, the music director for the previous two films. The track list for the album was revealed in a special MySpace revelation May 12, 2010. The album's first single is a newly recorded song by the band Muse.

The Chaos is the fourth album by English post-punk revival band The Futureheads. It was released on April 26, 2010. The album is the band's second on their label Nul Records, and was preceded by a download-only single, 'Struck Dumb', on 2 December 2009[6]. The track is an example of the band's "classic angular guitar-rock"[7] and has been described as "a blast of pop-punk energy". Drummer Dave Hyde has recently been busy with a side project known as Hyde and Beast[8] who make "60s and 70s quirky, almost carnival-esque music", so it is not clear what direction the new Futureheads album will take. The band themselves have described the new material as "complicated".

Shout It Out is the eighth studio album released by American pop group Hanson. The album is the third release through their own label 3CG Records. Shout It Out has been released on June 8, 2010 in the US. And will be released on July 14, 2010 in Japan. On March 6th, 2010, Hanson shot dance and other sequences for their upcoming music video of their new single, "Thinking 'Bout Somethin'", at Greenwood Avenue in their home town of Tulsa. Hanson recruited professional dancers for the shoot and also invited local residents and fans to take part. The video was directed by Todd Edwards, co-founder of Blue Yonder Films. It was released for public viewing to the band's MySpace channel on April 15th, 2010.

The gig - broadcast live on BBC Two - featured new material such as Violet Hill and 42, alongside old favourites including Clocks and In My Place.
The band were dressed in military-style jackets, and opened the 45 minute set with new track Life In Technicolor. "How many of you are only here because you couldn't get tickets for the Weakest Link?" joked frontman Chris Martin to the audience of several hundred.

The 2010 (21st annual) World Music Awards were held in Monte Carlo, Monaco and hosted by Michelle Rodriguez and Hayden Panettiere on May 18, 2010.

Perfect Day is the second studio album released by German Eurodance act Cascada. It features a number of cover songs, most notably Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi", Pink's "Just like a Pill", Patti Smith's "Because the Night" and Mark Wills' song "What Hurts the Most". Two edited tracks, "Endless Summer" and "I Will Believe It" that were previously recorded under the Siria name are also featured.
