Infinite Arms is the third album of indie rock band Band of Horses, released on May 18, 2010, on Brown Records, Fat Possum Records and Columbia. The first single off this album is "Compliments" and the official music video was presented on the band's official page on April 2010. Several of the tracks were written by Ben Bridwell whilst staying in a cabin in Minnesota on the Canadian border. Distant Relatives is a collaborative studio album by American rapper Nas and Jamaican reggae artist Damian Marley, released May 18, 2010, on Universal Republic and Def Jam Recordings. Production for the album took place during 2008 to 2010 and was handled primarily by Damian Marley and Stephen Marley. Fusing musical elements of hip hop and reggae, Distant Relatives features lyrical themes concerning ancestry, poverty, and the plight of Africa.

Waking the Fallen is the second album by Avenged Sevenfold. The album was released on August 26, 2003 through Hopeless Records. It is the last Avenged Sevenfold album to feature their metalcore sound, although there are much more clean vocals on this album than their first release, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. Waking the Fallen was Avenged Sevenfold's first album to feature bassist Johnny Christ as well as the first to feature the full current line-up (up until The Rev's death), after Dameon Ash's Departure. The album was certified gold on July 15, 2009.

Avenged Sevenfold is the fourth studio album by American rock band Avenged Sevenfold, released on October 30, 2007 through Warner Bros. Records. The album, originally slated for an October 16 release, was delayed by two weeks in order to provide more time to complete bonus material and production for the record, including the making of the animated music video for song "A Little Piece of Heaven". Sounding the Seventh Trumpet is the debut album by Avenged Sevenfold, released in 2001 on Good Life Recordings, and subsequently re-released by Hopeless Records on March 19, 2002, featuring slightly different cover art. The reissue also added the track "To End the Rapture (Heavy Metal Version)", which was previously only found on the Warmness on the Soul EP, and featured the band's new guitarist, Synyster Gates, who would go on to appear on every other Avenged Sevenfold release. As of 2008 Sounding the Seventh Trumpet has sold 200,000 copies worldwide.

City of Evil is the third studio album and first major label release by American rock band Avenged Sevenfold. The album was released on June 7, 2005 under the Warner Bros. Records label. Produced by Scott Gilman, City of Evil contains a more hard rock sound than Avenged Sevenfold's previous two albums, which had been classified into the metalcore genre. The album is also notable for the absence of screaming vocals. M. Shadows worked with vocal coach Ron Anderson, whose clients have included Axl Rose and Chris Cornell, for months before the album's release to achieve a sound that had "grit while still having the tone".

Brothers is the sixth album by American blues-rock duo, The Black Keys. It is their third release on Nonesuch Records. It was released on May 18, 2010. Its title, track listing, and cover art were announced on March 2, 2010 by Pitchfork Media. The first single off the album is "Tighten Up".

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is the second studio album by American country artist, Miranda Lambert. The album was released May 1, 2007 on Columbia Nashville Records and was produced by Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was Lambert's first studio album released under the Columbia Nashville label, as 2005's Kerosene was issued on Epic Nashville Records. The album received high critical acclaim, with critics commenting on Lambert's revengeful material. The album went to number one on the United States' Top Country Albums chart and also reached #6 on the overall American chart. Out of the album's four singles, three were major hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart between 2007 and 2009. "Gunpowder & Lead," the third single released from the album, became her first Top 10 hit on the country chart in 2008. Other singles spawned from the album were, "Famous in a Small Town," and "More Like Her."
