The Black Keys - El Camino
Definitive Master vinyl rip (presented in 24/96 & 16/44.1) | FLAC | m3u, cue & Tech Log
Artwork | DR Analysis | 838 / 245 mb incl. recovery | FSonic, FF & FP | Rock | 2011
Vinylmastering and cutting by Bernie Grundman @ Grundman Mastering, Hollywood
Nonesuch 180g LP ~ Pressed at Pallas; Germany ~ Cat.#: Nonesuch 529099

More than any other Black Keys album, El Camino is an outright party, playing like a collection of 11 lost 45 singles, each one having a bigger beat or dirtier hook than the previous side.

Pink Floyd - The Wall

Artwork | DR Analysis | 1.52 gb/427 mb incl. recovery | FS, FF & FP | ProgRock |1979
Japan LP 1st pressing / Cat.#: 40 AP 1750/1

Generally, the fully developed songs are among the finest of Pink Floyd's later work, but The Wall is primarily a triumph of production: its seamless surface, blending melodic fragments and sound effects, makes the musical shortcomings and questionable lyrics easy to ignore.

Ommadawn still stands as -- if not Mike Oldfield's greatest achievement (can anything displace Tubular Bells?), then at least his most visionary.

This and The Best of Muddy Waters are the essential building blocks of any Chicago blues collection. And seldom does the music come with this much personality and brute force.

Stevie Wonder - Hotter Than July

While most definitely not on the same tier as Innervisions or Songs in the Key of Life, Hotter Than July is the portrait of an artist who still had the Midas touch, but stood at the crossroads of an illustrious career.

Trombone Shorty - For True
Definitve Master vinyl rip (presented in 24/96 & 16/44.1) | FLAC | m3u, cue & Tech Log
Artwork | DR Analysis | 992 / 283 mb incl. recovery | FS; FF & FP | Jazz, Funk | 2011
Verve Forecast US LP / Cat.#: 87729

Ultimately, comparing For True to Backatown is pointless: they are of a piece. While you may prefer one over the other, they are, in essence, two parts of a compelling and dynamic musical aesthetic that is firmly in and of the 21st century, as they look back at history and forward to create it.
