What a wonderful trio! And what a wonderful audio technology! With this CD, comes a new mastering standard - recording at 352.8 kHz / 24-bit Super Advanced Resolution DXD format, burned on a standard Fim 99.9999% silver disc. A duplicate copy of the original masters is actually available directly from Fim, in the form of a 24k Gold disc, upon filling a subscription form. If this CD sounds to awesome, don't know what that would sound like... Those with slightly deeper pockets may want to get it and share with us here :p

With a voice so velvety, why Aaron Neville has not gained as much attention as some of the other lesser mainstream artists have, has remained a mystery. Frankly, I haven't heard anyone sing so charmingly ever. He could easily be called the male Ella Fitzgerald. The sheer range and ability to modulate his voice makes this artist extraordinary. Highly recommended album!!!

Again, as is the case with so many other techno/dance outfits, the dudes composing the tunes are not the ones singing. But, atleast we are not being lied to in this case. Formed by a German electronic duo in 1986, the group has had phenomenal success in both UK and Germany. While only 3 albums have been released so far, more than 10 singles have reached the charts. That, to my mind, is 'phenomenal'. The album you are looking at has all those hits, remixed & reissued by the original artists. Dance to it!!!

Another of Frank Farian's brainchild, the sound of Boney M. has made quite an indelible mark on the disco & dance genre. The group, seemingly, has four members - Bobby Farrell, Maizie Williams, Liz Mitchell, and Marcia Barrett - but really, all the songs have been sung by only the last two female artists; the bassy male voice that you hear on the tracks was actually created in the studio by Farian. Farian also directly contributed to the female chorus by adding his own vocals in high falsetto. So, what was Bobby Farrell doing in the group, you might think. Well ...he was there for visual stimulation, and lip-synching during the live shows. Supposedly, he did actually sing in some of the live shows. Oh ...did Milli Vanilli just come to the mind? It should and it shouldn't. Because that's what Farian does in all his acts - hire out-of-work models to be the public face of his musical projects - and since he always uses this trick, it is not worth paying attention to. So, download, and enjoy the music without thinking about who's singing what. There's no doubt Farian has a knack for creating catchy tunes, and it's all that matters. One thing I've always wondered, though, is what was with all those sleazy album covers suggesting acts of sexual bondage and sadism!!!

Now that's what I call a soundtrack ...if you love Latin music, that is!!! The opening track, Magalenha and its chorus arrangement alone is worth the cost of this album. A brilliant collection of fast dance numbers, majorly Salsa, spotted with nice ballads. The Latin hot star, Chayanne, hasn't, however, contributed much to the soundtrack, which is a shame given his good talents. His sole performance has been in "Refugio de Amor" or "You Are My Home", performed jointly with Vanessa Williams. The number peaked at number 4 in the Billboard Latin Pop Songs chart. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart for six consecutive weeks. I think it deserved better than that. Enjoy!!!

Usually, I don't buy compiled discs for one simple reason - not all the songs are upto the taste, and listening tends to lose the tempo as soon as the first few tracks are knocked out of the way. It is quite strange that compilations, sometimes, tend to have more fillers than studio albums. However, over a period of time, I have collected a few that I found to be exceptional. Most of them have some kind of theme based upon which the songs were picked. The album you are looking at belongs to Rhino's Instant Party Disc series issued in the late 90s. The idea was to present a pack of most wanted party songs from the not-so-recent times. This disc has some of the best singles from yesteryears, and will have you swayin' and swingin' in no time. Top moments include "Tequila", "Hot Hot Hot", "Mony Mony", and "That's The Way I Like It". Enjoy!

A very well put together soundtrack, I must say. It has all the flavors, from hip-hop (Hot Pants) to melodious pop (Golden Brown; Lucky Star) to electronica (Supermoves) to beautiful "bassy" rock number (Angel) by Massive Attack, which also happens to be my favorite cut on this album. There are even some funny dialogues from the picture itself, which unfortunately, you will not enjoy unless you've seen the movie. Another version of this album has already been posted on Avax, in lossless, but some tracks and movie dialogues are missing from it. Perhaps, it is a different pressing. So, I decided to post this album. Enjoy it to the max!

Another fine album from the early 90s! This one spawned 4 US Top 20 singles, and reported sold over 3 million copies. It's a shame the band couldn't replicate the success of their debut album, and finally disbanded dejectedly a few years later. To me, they were all fine vocalists, and their style of singing / whispering was quite enjoyable. I guess they were in it for the stardom and not for the love of music, which explains their disappointment. What a shame... they didn't know they had talent!

Milli Vanilli – All Or Nothing
Pop | 1988 | Hansa (Germany) | 13 Tracks | 51:14 | dB 13.3 Ultra-Secure Rip
Tracks + Tags + Log | No Cue | FLAC : 350 MB | HQ MP3 : 114 MB | Artwork : 1.66 MB

This is the first ever album released by Milli Vanilli. It was released only in Europe, a modified version of which was later released in US. Everyone knows the story of Milli Vanilli, but really, was all the brouhaha necessary, I wonder. Their music was, and still is, simply sublime, and no other hip-hop group has ever come close to their juicy melodies. If anyone was responsible for the lies, it was the producer Frank Farian, not the original artists – John Davis, Brad Howe, Charles Shaw, and Gina Mohammed.

Music is music, no matter who the artist is. But unfortunately, most listeners consider artists to be larger than the music. All it takes is a little following, and each one of us can become a Frankenstein. Anyway! I hope you enjoy this album to the maximum. Trust me, there is none like this one. Period.

I.E.M. – IEM Have Come For Your Children
Experimental | 2001 | Studio Album | 6 Tracks | 72:11 | dBpoweramp v13.3 Ultra-Secure Rip
Tracks + Tags + Artwork | No Cue | No Log (Downloaded from PT website) | FLAC | 532 MB | MP3 @ 320 | 158 MB

IEM stands for Incredible Expanding Mindfuck and is a personal side-project of Steven Wilson. Have Come for Your Children is the third album from the project. Tracks 1-5 use improvisations from 1999 as source material, heavily reconstructed and overdubbed in the studio in August 2001. Track 6 is a piece for hammered dulcimer and mellotron choir.

Those looking for melodious getaways should steer clear of this album. Suitable only for sonic explorers! As far as I am concerned, this is Wilson at his best, offering a free ride into the void.

No-Man – Loveblows And Lovecries: A Confession
Experimental Pop | 1996 | Studio Album | 10 Tracks | 46:54 | dBpoweramp v13.3 Ultra-Secure Rip
Tracks + Tags + Log | No Cue | No Artwork | FLAC | 316 MB | MP3 @ 320 | 101 MB

This is where it all started folks!!! This is No-Man's debut album. It was released in the UK by One Little Indian Records label in May, 1993, and in a slightly different format in the US on 550 Music in May, 1994. "Taking It Like a Man", a single taken from the US version of the album reached number 34 on the Billboard Dance Chart in April 1994 and was used on the US TV drama, Models, Inc. Critically lauded at the time of its release, the album was considered by the likes of UK magazines Melody Maker and Lime Lizard as an intriguing combination of art-rock ambition, synth-pop textures, and infectious pop hooks.

The album was released in UK and Europe in May 1997 and in the year 2000 in US. Another hypnotizing work by the dynamic duo!

Klinik 7 Vidna Obmana - Greed
Electronic | 2006 | Studio Album | 7 Tracks | 69:26 | dBpoweramp Ultra-Secure Rip
Tracks + Tags + Log + Artwork | No Cue | FLAC | 514 MB | MP3 @ 320 | 168 MB

Klinik aka Marc Verhaeghen and Vidna Obmana aka Dirk Serries are Belgian electronic musicians. Through their work, they've both attempted to experiment with various musical formats using dark sound, noise, and vertical amalgamation of different layers of notes. To explore the sound of sins, as laid out in the Holy Bible, the two decided to work on all seven, but unfortunately, decided to stop after two. This album explores the sound of one of the seven sins - GREED.

Like me, if you listen to music out of an inexplicable desire to explore the sound and try to hear the inaudible - the empty space, the universe - this album is for you. Give it a try!
