For more than 15 years the Yuri Honing Trio have been on the cutting edge of Dutch music scene. These three musicians form one of the most internationally successful Dutch jazz groups of today. The trio is centred around Yuri Honing, a brilliant saxophone player and composer who has been considered one of the leading Dutch voices in jazz since the nineties.

With his elegant lyric sensibility and use of classic harmonics, which might best be characterized as equal parts Hank Jones and Bill Evans, pianist Bill Charlap manages to suggest something at once timeless and modern in his approach to jazz piano.
