Annie Lennox's brand new album, “A Christmas Cornucopia,” (released on November 22nd, 2010) features Lennox’s unique and personal interpretations of some of her favorite Christmas carols as well as a completely new, and wonderful, original composition entitled, “Universal Child.”

"The Song Of The Whales". Bjørnstad has worked in recent years with the Swedish cellist Svante Henryson. "Hvalenes Song" was written for Vestfold International Festival in 2009.

After a trilogy of highly successful trio albums (“Changing Places”, “The Ground”, “Being There”), Tord Gustavsen branches off in new directions. His new band adds two players familiar to ECM listeners – bassist Mats Eilertsen and saxophonist Tore Brunborg – and introduces the blues-inflected voice of Kristin Asbjørnsen on Tord’s settings of the poetry of W.H. Auden. Inside the ensemble, duo and trio interaction unfolds, taking off from the clear melodic language of Gustavsen’s songwriting.

Jarrett’s solo concert tradition continues with two highly creative performances of recent vintage – from Paris’s Salle Pleyel on November 26, 2008, followed by London’s Royal Festival Hall on December 1. The English date was Jarrett’s first London solo concert in many years and, in the words of one reviewer, “triggered the sort of ecstasy that might greet a returning prophet”. As with “Radiance” and “The Carnegie Hall Concert”, the music covers a wide arc of expression, as “that old Jarrett magic forges majestically on” (The Guardian).

Playing for Change is an extraordinary effort to unite musicians and vocalists from diverse parts of the globe, while at the same time seeking to immerse audiences in a multimedia movement to inspire, connect and bring peace to the world through music.
Utilizing innovative mobile audio/video techniques, Playing for Change (PFC) records musicians outdoors in cities and townships worldwide. They've travelled from post-Katrina New Orleans to post-apartheid South Africa, from the remote beauty of the Himalayas to the religious diversity of Jerusalem. Their talents are captured in myriad environments: under the sun and beneath the streetlights... in public parks, plazas and promenades... in doorways, on cobblestone streets, amid hilly pueblos. Their performances are subsequently combined in allowing them to collaborate - albeit separated by hundreds, or even thousands, of miles.

Turns out that one of the products of communist Hungary during the '70s was an amazing selection of psychedelic rock bands. Who knew? Well, clearly the folks at Finders Keepers have been in on this for a while, because they cottoned on to the alluring wigouts of Sarolta Zalatnay a while back, reissuing her eponymous LP to glowing reviews a good twenty-five years or so after its original release. As this album demonstrates, Zalatnay was by no means a one-off. Artists like Kati Kovacs, and bands such as Skorpios and Piramis were all experimenting with adventurous, prog-tinged funk rock.

Ketil Bjørnstad recent project ”The Light“ precisely brings out the essence of Bjørnstad’s respective talents . “The Light” unites two song cycles for mezzo-soprano, viola and piano The “Fire Nordiske Sanger“ (=Four Nordic Songs) represent thirty years of consistent work, ”Sommernatt Ved Fjorden“ even became a radio hit in Norway.
