Buddy Guy and Junior Wells - Alone and Acoustic 1991
MP3 | 320 kbps | Blues | 58:39 min | 126 Mb

This CD is simply outstanding. Originally released in 1981, it features blues greats Buddy Guy and Junior Wells unplugged. Two men, one day in Paris, one acoustic guitar and one harmonica with each sharing the vocal duties. This has got to be one of Alligator label's finest releases and is a must have for any fan of these two giants, fans of acoustic blues and fans of the blues period.

Johnny Cash - American V (2006)
Country | MP3 | 320 KBps | 96,02 Mb | Release date 4 July 2006

American V, the last batch of songs Johnny Cash recorded with his unlikely collaborator and soul mate, producer Rick Rubin.

The songs Cash sings are, unsurprisingly, confessional and reflective: his mortality and his mistakes, his maker and his salvation, and the loss of his wife June and the end of his career may have weighed on his mind, but in these songs he both embodies and transcends his personal history.

B.B. King - King of the Blues boxset (MCA) (1992)
Blues | MP3 | 320 KBps | 540 Mb

This digitally remastered four-CD box set, produced by MCA, remains the absolutely definitive B.B. King collection. It samples every stage of his development, from his days struggling to craft his music in the shadow of influences like T-Bone Walker and Lonnie Johnson to his latter-day pairings with rockers like Bonnie Raitt and Gary Moore. The one constant is his open-hearted singing and the soulful, contemplative solos he squeezes from his beloved guitar Lucille.

Toumani Diabaté - Boulevard de l'independence (2006)
Jazz | mp3 | 320 KBps | 93,77 & 27,16 MB Rapidshare

Hot on the heels of Toumani Diabate's Grammy-winning collaboration with late guitar genius Ali Farka Toure, Mali's leading kora player comes up trumps with this energetic ensemble piece.

This album is the culmination of a decade of Friday night jam sessions at Bamako's Hogon Club and showcases a wide range of musicians and singers, including Kasse Mady Diabate, Soumaila Kanoute and Morissanda Kamissoko. There are scorching horns, fierce percussion and even atmospheric string arrangements. But the one constant throughout is Diabate's kora playing, which is magical.

Allen Ginsberg - First Blues 1971-83 (Rare Recording Incl. Bob Dylan) (1983)
Blues | mp3 | 256 KBps | 87,24 & 86,55 MB Rapidshare

Beat generation poet Allen Ginsberg was also a singer/songwiter who was encouraged to write and record by none other than Bob Dylan, who took Allen into the studio his first ever music recordings.

Ginsberg's knowledge of the blues form as a historical and improvisational entity that tied it to the poetic voice was singular. He found in the blues a universal voice that lent itself to an expression that could always be shared by anyone willing to join the song. And for Ginsberg, it was always, always about song. One had only to hear him read once to know that he and song were one, and these recordings bear that out especially well.

B.B. King - Live at the Regal (1965)
Blues | mp3 320 KBps | 71.73 MB RS

The Second of his 3 greatest ever live performances ...

King's voice is rarely in this fine of form, shifting effortlessly between his falsetto and his regular range, hitting the microphone hard for gritty emphasis and backing off in moments of almost intimate tenderness.
