The Brides of Funkenstein - Funk Or Walk
1978 | 39:59 | mp3@192 cbr | 55mb
P.Funk

'The original Brides of Funkenstein were Lynn Mabry and Dawn Silva, two vocalists who were background singers for Sly and the Family Stone in the mid-70s. George Clinton first met them while Sly was opening for Parliament / Funkadelic and offered them to join the P.Funk camp in 1977.
The year later, the Brides debut album "Funk or Walk" was released. With the help of their hit single "Disco to Go", the album went gold. They began touring with P-Funk for the "One Nation Under a Groove" tour, but Lynn left the group in 1979, due to financial disputes and her becoming pregnant.' Discogs.com

"A superb album, with the newer, younger funk lineup (Blackbyrd McKnight, Ron Dunbar, Ron Ford, Donnie Sterling, Lige Curry, etc). The album overcomes the absence of Bernie Worrell with great performances by the young musicians." Discogs.com

Funkadelic - Hardcore Jollies
1976 | 40:03 | mp3@320 cbr | 93mb
P.Funk

"A consistently interesting, if unremarkable Funkadelic creation. Notable for being the last album to feature the original Parliament singing lineup, as Fuzzy Haskins bolted to notch out a couple of solo albums, and Grady & Calvin didn't stick around either. Like Tales of Kidd Funkadelic, recorded at roughly the same time, the album lacks a consistent & coherent theme, and also suffers from the absence of Eddie Hazel." Discogs.com
