Stygian Crypt Productions have just released a new album from progressive and dark melodic metal band, Anachronaeon. ”The Futile Quest for Immortality” takes another big step forward, both in songwriting and production. With this album Anachronaeon mix a raw energetic death metal-nerve with epic melodies and a heavy metal platform to continue developing their own sound, exceeding their previous productions. The album has a red thread without being conceptual, about mankind through a misanthropic perspective.

Throes of Dawn is a Dark Metal band from Finland formed in 1994. Initially the band played more in the style of black metal but during the years the band's style has evolved to dark metal with psychedelic influences, borrowing the elements of doom metal, dark wave, gothic rock, Ambient music, and symphonic classical music making a romantic, melancholic and depressive feel into the music.

Divine Eve was formed on a bleak, late winter day in February 1992. By April 1995, the conflictions amongst the members of Divine Eve were so hostile, they disbanded immediately. In February 2008, three of the four original members gathered together (minus Tyson Lueck, although with his eternal hail) to once again create sonic violence and stain silence. The trio began to rehearse and soon new material as well as refurbished older material never recorded by the band was chosen and the band entered Klearlight Recording Studios with engineer Scott Cooksey. This led to the recording of the first new Divine Eve material in over 14 years, the 4 song e.p. "Vengeful and Obstinate" which will be released in January 2010 on Ibex Moon Records. This EP is intended as a prelude to the debut full-length which will also be available through Ibex Moon Records.

Sacrifice was one of the best Canadian thrash metal bands in the 1980s. "The Ones I Condemn" is the result of yet another reformation of a kvlt 80s band and this time it’s Canadians Sacrifice who might have just made the best album of their career. The band was a decent if unspectacular addition to the heydays of thrash metal with one minor classic in the form of 1987s "Forward to Termination". The band broke up in 1994 shortly after the release of their fourth album and returns now with the original line up and main man Rob Urbinati after a gap of 16 years with an album that matches the ferocity and conviction of "Forward to Termination" and maybe even surpasses it. With their first studio release entitled Disciples of the Unseen, produced by mastermind JeF Fortin (Unexpect, Neuraxis, Kalter), Aeternam is ready to make its debut on the metal scene with their new twist on death metal. 12 Gauge is the sixth studio album by the Finnish melodic death metal band Kalmah. The album was released in Japan on February 24, 2010, Canada on March 2, Europe on March 3, and will be released in North America on April 6. "12 Gauge" sees another step forward in the evolution of the swamp things with all the melodic trademarks in place, but also with increased technicality. Listeners can prepare for a twin-guitar attack not heard since the heydays of Megadeth and a thrashier, punchier overall approach.

In Mourning is a progressive death metal band from Falun, Sweden. They are currently signed with the singaporean label Pulverised Records. Their latest album Monolith was released on January 25, 2010. The albums flows very nicely showcasing 8 songs with great guitar melodies and powerful vocals, enough to please any fans of Melodic or Progressive Death Metal.

Universal is the eighth full-length album by the Norwegian metal band Borknagar. It marks the return of bassist Tyr and guitarist Jens Ryland. The band's former vocalist ICS Vortex performed vocals on the track "My Domain". The album was intended to be released in the fall of 2009, but the released date was postponed as a result of a label decision. It will be released on February 22, 2010.

One of the most unique bands to rise from the second wave of the Bay Area Thrash explosion, Heathen's style was characterized by high-speed precision riffage and harmony sections coupled with melodic singing. Inspired, by '70s rock acts such as Rainbow, the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) and the first wave of Thrash Metal (Metallica and Exodus), Heathen was formed in late 1984 by Russian-born Lee Altus (guitars) and Carl Sacco (drums).
Heathen's new album "The Evolution Of Chaos" is available now in Japan via King Records. The album will be available in Europe on January 26th and in the US on February 16th via Mascot Records.
Heathen takes it back to the old school with The Evolution Of Chaos, but also has a few new tricks up their sleeve. Lee Altus and Kragen Lum use all the weapons in their guitar arsenal, from thick riffs to shredding solos. The songs on the album are long, leaving plenty of room for extended instrumental sections that showcase the band's musicianship.
