This bootleg version of the «Smile» album, as performed by the original Beach Boys line-up, is from my personal collection.
It was released as part of the Sea Of Tunes (bootleg label) «Unsurpassed Masters» series, with this particular volume coming in at number 16, in 1999.

Lou Reed has always dabbled in contrasts, so it comes as nosurprise that the follow-up to his darkly serious concept album BERLIN was a commercially oriented, good-time rock & roll fest. ROCK N' ROLL ANIMAL is a live set that finds Reed stretching out on some of his best-loved Velvet Underground tunes with the help of his crack touring band at the time. Though the songs are somewhat given to stylistic excess, the overall sound is streamlined, accessible, and visceral.

This is a bootleg originally released in 1990 just after the release of the official Vol.3.
The album feature rough mixtures of the tracks that were used on that volume.

The title of THE COMPLETE STONE ROSES is not entirely accurate. The disc is one of the settlements resulting from the longstanding legal battles between the Manchester band and its former label, Silvertone Records. THE COMPLETE collects the singles from the Roses' classic first album, 1989's THE STONE ROSES, along with such excellent, pre-and-post-album singles as "Made of Stone" and the hypnotic nine-minute groove anthem "Fools Gold" and a handful of early recordings made in the mid-'80s with the late Martin Hannett. The latter are especially intriguing, making clear the previously hidden influence earlier Hannett-produced Manchester bands like New Order and A Certain Ratio had on the Stone Roses' more '60s-influenced and guitar-oriented sound. THE COMPLETE is an interesting compilation for fans and newcomers alike.

THE STONE ROSES was one of those albums that defined a cultural moment-especially in the Roses' native England, where their music was the soundtrack for 1989's now-legendary summer of raves and Ecstasy. When the quartet released the classic, nine-minute single "Fool's Gold", mixing jangling/droning, psychedelic-tinged guitars with a slinky organ-and-bass groove and hypnotic percussion, it was like the world was theirs for the taking. Sadly, the Stone Roses lost their momentum in an unfortunate, protracted legal battle with their label, Silvertone Records, and never got the chance to build upon this amazing point. 1992's TURNS INTO STONE collects "Fools Gold", the extended mix of "Elephant Stone", and a handfulof b-sides and EP tracks onto one convenient disc. Though the music is extraordinary, there's no escaping the sense that this was just a stopgap release.

Here is a bootleg from my personal collection. To my mind this is still the best mix available (both official and unreleased) of the "Let It Be" album as how The Beatles had originally intended it to be (and named – “Get Back”).
Glyn Johns perfectly captures the feel of their recording sessions for “Get Back” and it's a more pleasant mix to listen to (again, my opinion).

John's original demos used for the new beatle's songs: free as a bird & real love are here as well as the talked about, but never heard, 3rd "beatle '95" demo now and then. Also included are several never before heard Lennon compositions.

Another treat for fans of The Beatles from my personal collection. This is the full collection of Hollywood Bowl recordings from 1964 & 1965. These tapes formed the basis of George Martin's official Beatles release.

Some albums define an era, a place, a certain time in one'slife; they exist as soundtracks for our memories, bringing that extra scent of poignancy to them. CHECK YOUR HEAD practically defined the summer of 1992 for those who were wary ofthe mainstreaming of rap and somewhat bored by the insurgency of grunge. By holding their heads firmly outside of any particular musical genre, MCA, Adrock & Mike D. created theirown space; distorted, fuzzy, peppered with the swagger of punk and the rootsy earthiness of early-'70s soul-jazz, and layered with ten years of hip-hop know-how.
