FOCUS began its work in the end of the 60´s with Thijs Van Leer (flute,organ), Martin Dresden (bass) and Hans Cleuver (drums). They were thinking to form a band like Steve Winwood´s TRAFFIC, but destiny changes ones ways. They were invited to support the cast from the Dutch version of HAIR. Afterwards, the first LP was produced, with the addition of guitarist Jan Akkerman. More here.

Francisco Soares Araujo, the "Canhoto da Paraíba" (canhoto = left handed person) was born in May,19 1928. He grew in a family of musicians, but as he was obliged to share instruments with his brothers, could not invert the strings: he has to play an instrument sharpened for dexterous. He had to learn everything alone, what it took him to develop an unique style to play acoustic guitar. Unfortunately, now he is an "unknown legend" in the choro scene.
