Coming Home is the eighth studio album by Lionel Richie, released on September 12, 2006 by the Island Def Jam Music Group. It debuted at number six on the Billboard 200, becoming his biggest hit album since 1986's Dancing on the Ceiling. It has sold 517,000 units worldwide. The music video for "I Call It Love" features his daughter, Nicole Richie. The songs "I Apologize" and "I'm Missing Her" are NOT available on all editions of this CD.

Alanis Nadine Morissette (born 1 June 1974) is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter, record producer and actress. She has won 12 Juno Awards and seven Grammy Awards. Morissette began her career in Canada, and as a teenager recorded two dance-pop albums, Alanis and Now Is the Time, under MCA Records. Her debut album was the rock-influenced Jagged Little Pill, which remains the best-selling debut album by a female artist in the U.S., and the highest selling debut album worldwide, selling 30 million units globally. Her following album, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, was released in 1998 and was a success as well. Morissette took up producing duties for her subsequent albums, which include Under Rug Swept, So-Called Chaos and Flavors of Entanglement. Morissette has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide. In February 2005, Morissette became a naturalized citizen of the United States while maintaining her Canadian citizenship.

Alecia Beth Moore (born September 8, 1979), better known by her stage name Pink (often stylized as P!nk), is an American singer, songwriter and occasional actress who rose to fame in early 2000 as an R&B singer, but then switched to a more rock and pop rock sound after her sophomore record. She released her first single "There You Go" and first album, the R&B-oriented Can't Take Me Home, in 2000 via LaFace Records, which garnered commercial success. Her more pop rock-oriented second studio album, Missundaztood, which began a marked shift in the sound of her music, was released in 2001, and was very successful worldwide, and is currently her best seller. Pink released her third album, Try This, in November 2003, and her fourth in April 2006, I'm Not Dead. The latter generated seven hit singles, including "Stupid Girls", "U + Ur Hand" and "Who Knew". Her fifth album, Funhouse, was released in late October 2008 and was preceded by her first solo number one on the Hot 100, "So What". The album hosts Top 20 hits "Sober" and "Please Don't Leave Me", and is Pink's first album to spawn five worldwide singles. Pink revealed that she is in no hurry to record a sixth album because she "has nothing to say." She has sold more than 10 million albums in the US and over 30 million records worldwide, and scored eight Top 10 US hits, won two Grammy Awards and became one of the best known female pop rock acts of the decade.

Age Ain't Nothing but a Number is the debut album by American recording artist Aaliyah, released under Jive and Blackground Records on June 13, 1994, in the United States. After being signed by her uncle Barry Hankerson, Aaliyah was introduced to recording artist and producer R. Kelly. He became her mentor, as well as the lead songwriter and producer of the album. The duo recorded the album at the Chicago Recording Company in Chicago, Illinois. The album featured two hit singles, including the top ten-charting "Back & Forth" and "At Your Best (You Are Love)"; both singles were certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Two additional singles followed: "Age Ain't Nothing But a Number" and "No One Knows How to Love Me Quite like You Do". Age Ain't Nothing But a Number received generally favorable reviews from critics. Many noted Aaliyah's vocal ability and praised the lyrical content. Aaliyah was credited for redefining R&B by blending her voice with Kelly's new jack swing. The album peaked at number 18 on the Billboard 200 and sold two million copies in the United States, where it was certified two times Platinum by the RIAA. The album was certified Gold in Canada by the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) and Silver in the United Kingdom by the British Phonographic Industry.

Can't Slow Down is the title of Lionel Richie's second solo album, which was released on October 11, 1983. The album reached #1 on the Billboard album chart on December 3, 1983, where it stayed for three weeks. It also spent 59 consecutive weeks inside the Top 10 (including the whole year of 1984) and a total of 160 weeks (over three years) on the Billboard 200. After being the third best-selling album of 1984, it went on to win a Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1985 and sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Can't Slow Down achieved the feat of having every single released hit the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Two songs, "Hello" and "All Night Long (All Night)", both went to #1. Other hits include "Stuck On You" (US #3), "Running With the Night" (US #7), and "Penny Lover" (US #8). The single "Stuck on You" also reached #24 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.

Foghat are a British rock band who had their peak success in the mid- to late-1970s. Their style can be described as "blues-rock," dominated by electric and electric slide guitar. The band has achieved five gold records. The group remained popular during the disco era, but their popularity waned in the early 1980s. Louder Than Words is Lionel Richie's fourth studio album, which was released on April 16, 1996. It marked the first time he released a studio album of new material in 10 years.

Get Closer (1982) is an album by singer/songwriter/producer Linda Ronstadt. It arrived two and a half years after the controversial Punk Rock Mad Love, in which Ronstadt departed from what had become her traditional blend of rock, country and pop music and sang straightforward rock 'n' roll, and a little over a year after her Tony Award-nominated turn on Broadway playing Mabel in the Joseph Papp production of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates Of Penzance.

Cracked Rear View is the major-label debut album by Hootie & the Blowfish, released on July 5, 1994. It was the highest-selling album of 1995, with 10.5 million shipments that year alone, eventually shipping 16 million copies to retailers by March 31, 1999. It is tied with several albums, all certified 16× platinum, for the fifteenth best selling album of all time in the United States.

Believe is the twenty-third studio album by American singer-actress Cher, released on November 10, 1998[2] by Warner Bros. Records. The RIAA certified it Quadruple Platinum on December 23, 1999, recognizing four million shipments in the United States; Worldwide, the album has sold more than 20 million copies[3], making it the biggest-selling album of her career. In 1999 the album received three Grammy Awards nominations including "Record of the Year", "Best Pop Album" and winning "Best Dance Recording" for the single "Believe".

It Matters to Me is the second album by country artist Faith Hill, released in 1995 (see 1995 in music). Sarah Brightman (born 14 August 1960) is a British crossover soprano, actress, songwriter and dancer. She sings in many languages including English, Spanish, French, Latin, German, Italian, Russian, Hindi, Mandarin and Japanese. Brightman has 160 Gold and Platinum awards in 34 countries and is the only artist to hold #1 spots on the Billboard Classical and Dance charts simultaneously, her other achievements feature her ranking by the Recording Industry Association of America as the best-selling female classical artist of the twenty-first century, and a Guinness World Record for “Time to Say Goodbye”, the best-selling single in German recording history. She has established herself as the world's biggest selling soprano of all time, with worldwide sales of more than 26 million albums and over 2 million DVDs. She was a dancer in troupes such as Hot Gossip, and later released a number of disco singles. Originally formed in Yorkshire, England, in 1966, Smokie hit the British pop charts several times during the late '70s with updated psychedelic pop, influenced by the band's stay on Mickie Most's Rak Records as well as the writers of most of the band's hit material, Rak's Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman. Vocalist Chris Norman, bassist Terry Utley, and guitarist Alan Silson had played in the Elizabethans, but formed the band Kindness in 1968, with the addition of drummer Pete Spencer. The quartet recorded many singles during the late '60s and early '70s, but failed to show any chart activity until 1975. That year, signed to Rak Records and billed as Smokey, the band hit number three in the U.K. with "If You Think You Know How to Love Me." After another Top Ten hit, "Don't Play Your Rock 'n' Roll to Me," Smokey became Smokie; during 1976, the group scored with three Top 20 hits, including the number five "Living Next Door to Alice." Smokie hit number five both in 1977 ("It's Your Life") and 1978 ("Oh Carol"), but the band's chart run ended by early 1980, and following 1982's Midnight Delight, they disbanded. Both Spencer and Norman continued to work at Rak during the '80s, writing hits for several groups; they re-formed Smokie in 1988, resurfacing with the LP My Heart Is True. Two more albums, All Fired Up and Greatest Hits Live, followed, with the group remaining active throughout the 1990s, issuing new material as well as a number of hits collections.

Emmylou Harris (born April 2, 1947, Birmingham, Alabama) is an American country singer-songwriter and musician. In addition to her work as a solo artist and bandleader, both as an interpreter of other composers' works and as a singer-songwriter, she is a sought-after backing vocalist and duet partner, working with numerous other artists.As a solo artist, she has released 21 studio albums and three live albums. At least 10 compilations are devoted solely to her work. For nearly her entire career she has released albums on Warner Bros. Records or the company's subsidiary labels, Reprise Records, Elektra Records, Asylum Records and, most recently, Nonesuch Records. Harris has shared primary credit on albums with other artists: two with Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt (Trio and Trio 2), one with Ronstadt and two with Mark Knopfler (All the Roadrunning and a live companion album/DVD, Real Live Roadrunning).
