Incubus (Esperanto: Inkubo) is a black and white horror film originally released in 1965 and later restored in 2001. Incubus was directed by Leslie Stevens, creator of The Outer Limits, and stars a pre-Star Trek William Shatner. Its striking black and white cinematography was by Conrad Hall, who went on to win three Academy Awards for his work on the films Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, American Beauty and Road to Perdition. The film was performed entirely in the constructed language Esperanto. This was done to create an eerie, other-worldly feeling, and the director has prohibited dubbing into other languages.

Paul Newman was nominated for an Oscar and George Kennedy received one for his work in this allegorical prison drama. Luke Jackson (Paul Newman) is sentenced to a stretch on a southern chain gang after he's arrested for drunkenly decapitating parking meters. While the avowed ambition of the captain (Strother Martin) is for each prisoner to "get their mind right," it soon becomes obvious that Luke is not about to kowtow to anybody. When challenged to a fistfight by fellow inmate Dragline (George Kennedy), Luke simply refuses to give up, even though he's brutally beaten. Luke knows how to win at poker, even with bad cards, by using his smarts and playing it cool. Luke also figures out a way for the men to get their work done in half the usual time, giving them the afternoon off. Finally, when Luke finds out his mother has died, he plots his escape; when he's caught, he simply escapes again. Soon, Luke becomes a symbol of hope and resilience to the other men in the prison camp -- and a symbol of rebelliousness that must be stamped out to the guards and the captain. Along with stellar performances by Newman, Kennedy, and Martin, Cool Hand Luke features a superb supporting cast, including Ralph Waite, Harry Dean Stanton, Dennis Hopper, Wayne Rogers, and Joe Don Baker as members of the chain gang.

An adventure drama that tells the story of Santiago, a 22-year old from Lima. The Battle of Kerzhenets (Russian: Се́ча при Ке́рженце; tr.:Secha pri Kerzhentse) is a 1971 Soviet animated film directed by Ivan Ivanov-Vano and Yuriy Norshteyn. The film is set to music by Rimsky-Korsakov and uses Russian frescoes and paintings from the 14th-16th centuries (which are animated using 2-dimensional stop motion animation).

La Batalla de Kerzhenets (1970) un filme de 70 mm codirigido con Ivanov-Vano, empleaba frescos antiguos, iconos y miniaturas de los siglos XII a XIV para describir la invasión tártara y la victoriosa resistencia de los soldados rusos frente a las murallas de Kerzhenets. El estilo y las imágenes son dignos de la épica de Eisenstein, aunque hay un par de escenas que desmerecen del resto. El tema principal está sacado de un fragmento de la Historia de la ciudad perdida de Kitez, de Rimsky-Korsakov, una antigua leyenda representada en la cultura rusa por artistas de la talla de Sergei Esenin. La batalla de Kerzhenets tuvo un gran éxito y ganó, entre otros galardones, el más alto reconocimiento en el festival de Zagreb de 1972. Norstein fue el principal artífice del éxito, pero el carismático y popular Ivanov-Vano le hizo sombra en la mayoría de las críticas.

Despite it is a short film, this one contains such characters, such situations that make this astonishing story shooting in the Galician Country unique. The protagonist, Tía Sunción is a old woman that for 30 years was waiting a letter from her son that were like an emigrant to the USA. She never failure about waiting and waiting in vain such those years going to the Post Office till one day she received the wanting letter. His son finally get will go to pay a visit to her mother but something struck the hopes of Tia Suncion desires. Like I said this short film was shooting in the Galician Country and it had all the fascinating landscapes and curious customs and characters that surrounded the small villages in that beautiful country. But not always depends on the aesthetic issues, no. Have the story of the film, that I don't want to spoiled the surprising end, something that are inherent to people: desires, hopes and finally sorrow and greed. It is not a short film, it is a greatest film, indeed!.
El titulo de este corto es: "Mamasunción". Su argumento es sencillo, triste, tragico, real y rutinario, como también lo es la vida diaria en la Galicia, que sufrió y padeció la emigración.
"Mamasuncion" es una anciana de la Pontevedra profunda, que todos los días durante cuarenta años, y a las siete en punto de la tarde, se persona en la estafeta de correos, esperando una carta de su hijo, que emigró a América.

Jean Giraud alias Moebius, le célèbre dessinateur français et co-scénariste des Maîtres du Temps de René Laloux, créa le personnage Arzach en 1976 pour le magazine Métal Hurlant. A cette époque, ces aventures furent "révolutionnaires" dans le monde de la bande dessinée, avare en terme d'originalité et de risque. En effet, outre ses qualités graphiques, Arzach ne comprend pas le moindre texte, pas la moindre bulle dans ses pages. C'est au lecteur lui-même d'imaginer, de prendre conscience des sensations vécues par le personnage dans son monde fantastique. Grâce à la volonté et à l'enthousiasme d'Alexandre Brillant, ex-journaliste du magazine Première, l'adaptation animée va prendre forme entre les mains de Moebius. L'absence de dialogues n'étant pas l'idéal dans pareil cas, une narration simple et efficace est donc nécessaire. Afin de ne pas dénaturer son travail original, il utilise l'animation Flash, qu'il maîtrise parfaitement grâce à Photoshop… et le résultat est bel et bien là. Coproductrice de la série, la chaîne publique France 2 a par ailleurs diffusé cinq épisodes dans la soirée du 30 décembre 2003. Arzak Rhapsody a notamment eu l'honneur d'une sortie cinématographique aux États-Unis, en Australie et au Canada.
