The Script - Science & Faith (2010)
Pop, Rock | EAC Rip | FLAC + CUE + LOG | Scans | 304 MB
Label ~ 101 DISTRIBUTION

2010 release from the Irish outfit, the follow up to their million selling self-titled debut. An addictive blend of Hip Hop rhythms, flowing melodies, sparkling hooks and poignant, story-spinning lyrics, with Danny's mellifluous soulful vocals riding high over huge, anthemic choruses, Science & Faith is far from a difficult second album. When writing, the London based trio found that weighty, emotion-packed mini-epics came thick and fast. Highlights include first single 'For The First Time' and 'Nothing', its subject matter a drunken, broken hearted phone call to a lost love Then there's 'If You Ever Come Back' about always leaving the door open for the possible return of a loved one and the title track, 'Science & Faith', which takes on the primacy of love in the universal equation.

Cake - Showroom of Compassion (2011)
Alternative, Indie Rock | EAC Rip | FLAC + CUE + LOG | Scans | 235 MB
Label ~ Upbeat Records

Cake is still at it. They keep the same instrumentation with a few modifications including acoustic piano and some voice modulation. Distorted signature guitar sound, trumpeting and digital keys while gallery shouts and calls circulate over vibra-slap infused grooves.
Fans will continue to nod their heads with songs like Sick of You and Mustache Man (Wasted). Instrumental Teenage Pregnancy is one of the most emotional instrumentals the band has written (see Arco Arena).

Highwaymen - The Road Goes on Forever (1995)
Country | EAC Rip | FLAC + CUE + LOG | Scans | 227.97 MB
Label ~ Capitol

Don Was, the producer who transformed Bonnie Raitt from cult hero to pop star, tried to jump-start the stalled careers of Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings by producing their recent albums, Across the Borderline and Waymore's Blues (Part II), respectively. This resulted in two artistic triumphs but no hits. That didn't deter Nelson and Jennings from hiring Was to produce their album with Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson as the Highwaymen. The Road Goes on Forever is easily the best of the three Highwaymen albums, even if changing radio tastes will probably doom it to the poorest sales of the three. The two earlier releases, 1985's Highwaymen and 1990's Highwaymen 2, were thrown together as if the sheer starpower of the four singers could carry the project. Both albums had their exciting moments when everything clicked but both also had a lot of filler.

Joe Cocker - Live (1990)
Blues, Rock | EAC Rip | FLAC + CUE + LOG | Scans | 513 MB
Label ~ Capitol

This in-concert album is fleshed out with two studio tracks, including a Wagnerian, overproduced Diane Warren power ballad. Cocker veers effectively between his '80s output and songs he popularized on MAD DOGS AND ENGLISHMEN, his first live album from 1970. (Most of those songs--including "A Little Help From My Friends," Feelin' Alright," and "The Letter"--are served up in note-perfect recreations, although only keyboard player Chris Stainton remains from the 1970 band). In any case, Cocker is in fine voice throughout, particularly on the lung-busting "You Are So Beautiful." Oddly enough, he seems most completely engaged during his take on Randy Newman's wry "Guilty"--apparently the song's theme is something he can relate to.

Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison (1968)
Country | EAC Rip | FLAC + CUE + LOG | Artwork | 343 MB
Label ~ Columbia/Legacy

At Folsom Prison is a live album by Johnny Cash, released on Columbia Records in May 1968. Since his 1955 song "Folsom Prison Blues", Cash had been interested in performing at a prison. His idea was put on hold until 1967, when personnel changes at Columbia Records put Bob Johnston in charge of producing Cash's material. Cash had recently controlled his drug abuse problems, and was looking to turn his career around after several years of limited commercial success. Backed with June Carter, whom he married later that year; Carl Perkins and the Tennessee Three, Cash performed two shows at Folsom State Prison in California on January 13, 1968. The resulting album consisted of 15 tracks from the first show and two tracks from the second.

Carrie Underwood - Carnival Ride (2007)
Country | EAC Rip | FLAC + CUE + LOG | Artwork | 427 MB
Label ~ Arista

Carrie Underwood’s Some Hearts, hastily made and released some five months after she won the 2005 American Idol crown, was surprisingly solid and tuneful. For her follow-up, producer Mark Bright steers her toward the big Martina McBride skies, with a plethora of strings and huge emotional crescendos. Underwood co-wrote four songs, mostly with the tried-and-true tunesmiths who made Some Hearts soar.
