In American Psycho the main character Patrick Bateman is a New York Yuppie working at Wall Street who happens to be a demented serial killer. The book is written in the first person from the point of view of its insane and delusional protagonist. The world that one encounters and sees through the eyes of Bateman is a twisted and superficial one that lacks life, passion, and any traits of individuality. The characters are shallow and insignificant and have few, if any, distinguishing features from each other so that they become redundant and interchangeable. It depicts a world that is so flat and one-sided that everyone is alike and seems robotic without any inner life, thought, or consequence.

A track from "A Thousand Suns". Is the fourth studio album by American rock band Linkin Park, due for release on September 10th (Europe), 13th and 14th, 2010, in the UK and US through Warner Bros. Records. The album was co-produced by Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin, who previously worked together to produce Minutes to Midnight (2007). The lead single for the album, "The Catalyst", was released to radio on August 2, 2010.

Interpol is the self-titled fourth studio album by the American band Interpol to be released on September 7, 2010 on their initial label. If you pre-ordered vinyl from Matador you should receive the album by or around September 1,2010. Matador Records. It was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village. Details of the records surfaced in early June through the band's official website. "Lights" was released for free download through the site, originally in May 2010 with an accompanying video released in June 2010 by Charlie White, who earlier directed the music video for Evil. This album will be the band's last effort with original bassist Carlos Dengler as he left shortly after the album's completion. The lead single "Barricade" was released on August 3, 2010.

Joe Ledger and the DMS (Department of Military Sciences) go up against two competing groups of geneticists. Belgian duo, Samir Bekaert and Maarten Vaderwalle arrive at Expanding Records, one of the more enduring electronica labels out there. You'll Never Find Us Here really doesn't fit with that sort of classification however, instead offering a richly varied selection of instrumental productions and tuneful home-listening excursions. Primary Colours is the second studio album by British indie rock band The Horrors. It was released in the US on 21 April 2009, and in the UK on 4 May 2009 by XL Recordings. The album charted on the UK Albums Chart at #25. According to aggregating website Metacritic, the record was met with "universal critical acclaim", receiving a normalised score of 82% based on 19 reviews. On 21 July 2009, the album was announced as one of the twelve albums shortlisted for the year's Mercury Prize award. Primary Colours was named the best album of the year by NME.

Aphrodite's Child was a Greek progressive rock band formed in 1967, by Vangelis Papathanassiou (keyboards), Demis Roussos (bass guitar and vocals), Loukas Sideras (drums and vocals), and Anargyros "Silver" Koulouris (guitar). Their band's name was derived from the title of a track from another Mercury act, Dick Campbell, from his Sings Where It's At album. Papathanassiou and Roussos had already been successful in Greece (playing in the bands Formynx and Idols respectively) while they got together with Sideras and Koulouris to form a new band. Their first recording as a band was for George Romanos' album In Concert and in Studio where they played on four songs and were credited as 'Vangelis and his Orchestra'. In the same year they recorded a two song demo and submitted it to Philips Records.

Dramarama is a Los Angeles, California-based alternative rock/power pop band. The band was formed in New Jersey in 1982 and disbanded in 1994. The band formally reunited in 2003 following an appearance on VH1's Bands Reunited reality show.
Since 1996, an evolving lineup of the band, always fronted by singer/songwriter John Easdale, has been performing in one incarnation or another (initially billed as Easdale solo but usually joined by former Dramarama band mates), and from then until 2003 played occasional shows in the L.A. area, as well as in New Jersey. However, amid renewed interest since the Bands Reunited episode in January 2004 and a large-scale appearance at KROQ-FM's annual Inland Invasion festival concert (attended by more than 78,000 fans) in September 2003, Dramarama has been touring nationally, and released their first new, full-length studio CD, titled "everybody dies", on October 25, 2005. The band has been recording new material and there are plans to release a new CD in 2010.

Adam Makowicz born Adam Matyszkowicz is a Polish-Canadian pianist and composer living in Toronto. He performs jazz and classical piano pieces, as well as his own compositions. Besides playing solo, he has worked with such musicians as Michał Urbaniak, Tomasz Stanko and Leszek Możdżer, as well as with the National Symphony Orchestra of Washington DC, at the Kennedy Centre, at the Carnegie Hall, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, and other major orchestras at concert halls in Americas and in Europe. His technical skills as jazz pianist have been compared to that of Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, and Errol Garner among others. His specialty in classical piano since his studies in the 1950s has been the music of Chopin.
