[20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection]

Comedy | mp3 CBR 64kbps | 27MB + 5% recovery

Amazon reviewer: I absolutely love Bill Cosby, and to get a good sample of his various works, I highly recommend this CD. You get a taste of his different sides, in addition to toppling over in laughter! I have to say, this is a collection of his most wonderful works.

Bill Cosby - At His Best (1995)
Comedy | mp3 CBR 192kbps | 56MB + 5% recovery

Amazon reviewer: I wouldn't say this is Bill Cosby "at his best". It's more like a collection of random routines from the early '70s. Which is not to say it isn't funny. The material here is indeed funny, if not necessarily his "best". "Froofie the Dog" and "Track and Field High Jump" are probably the best routines here. It should also be mentioned that "Grover Henson Feels Forgotten" is not a comedy routine. It is a serious spoken word piece set to music, told from the point of view of a lonely soldier with no family. It was released as a single, but it only reached #70 on the pop charts. Fans of Cos should enjoy this CD.

Bill Cosby - Himself (1982)
Comedy | mp3 CBR 64kbps | 22MB + 5% recovery

Amazon reviewer: Taken from a 1982 concert film, this CD contains several solid routines by the veteran comedian. Most of these portrayals are humorous takes on family life. Cosby gives special attention to the messiness and frustrations of child rearing. His caricatures of domestic situations reveal a sharp eye for telling details that most listeners will recognize. Cosby pens the material himself and it's tightly written stuff, indeed. "The Dentist" perfectly captures the humiliation and absurdity of a visit to the tooth doctor. "Chocolate Cake for Breakfast" might be the only flop here. The comic's drawn-out performance is heavy-handed and everything gets a little too spelled-out. But for the most part this disc features Cosby in good form. The man is the embodiment of All-American humor and this album reflects that.

Amazon reviewer: I bought this album on vinyl when I was ten and the first time I heard it I had tears running out my eyes, it was so funny. I even performed his sketches about his parents for parties and talent shows.

Bill Cosby - Fat Albert (1973)
Comedy | mp3 CBR 64kbps | 18MB + 5% recovery

Amazon reviewer: This CD contains several of the Fat Albert routines that ilustrate the comic genius of Bill Cosby. They all revolve his youth in Philadelphia and the boys he grew up with. All men should have hilarious stories of their antics as youth to draw upon for hilarious memories. Cosby's genius is in his ability to make thos stories funny to others. He does a great job.

Bill Cosby - For Adults Only (1971)
Comedy | mp3 CBR 64kbps | 22MB + 5% recovery

Amazon reviewer: Bill Cosby recorded this album in Vegas, and hence, played to a different crowd. You will find nothing about Fat Albert on this album, nor anything else about his childhood. Instead, what you will find is Bill Cosby showing his range of comedic talent. While being a little risque at times, Cos does bring the laughs. Talking about everything from a mirror over his bed to taking his wife someplace special, this album shows the more adult side of Bill. Nonetheless, anyone who listens to it will be more than amused and happy they bought it.

Bill Cosby - It's True! It's True! (1969)
Comedy | mp3 CBR 64kbps | 18MB + 5% recovery

Although this is just an appetizer of some of the best, it is still a side splitter and brings out some of the routines we've come to know and love..."HELICOPTERS", "MR. IKE & THE NEIGHBORHOOD TV SET", "SHOESLACES", "SPANISH FLY", in today's world of crude humor, Cosby is a refreshing and welcome change in the genre of comedy.

Bill Cosby - 200 M.P.H. (1968)
Comedy | mp3 CBR 192kbps | 52MB + 5% recovery

This contains lots of the tightly scripted, rapid format, clean comedy that was Bill's early trademark. As well as many sidesplitting routines, you get more insight into Bill, the man, and the Cosby family (arguably his favorite subject.)

The title routine involves Bill's love of fast cars and his having been persuaded by Carroll Shelby to switch over from his "foreign" Ferrari to a Shelby special that scared the #(*&# out of Bill. This routine alone is worth the price.

If laughter does the heart good like a medicine, then Bill Cosby is digitalis!

Bill Cosby - Is A Very Funny Fellow...Right! (1963)
Comedy | mp3 CBR 128kbps | 30MB + 5% recovery

Most comedians' first records sound dated or subdued. Not Bill Cosby, who took America by storm in the mid-Sixties. This is his first disc, and it's still brilliant: it hasn't dated in any real way, which is rare for comedy, and it has moments that are so explosively funny you can't even figure out why.

An IMDB reviewer wrote: “Benjie was the nerd, Oscy was the tough guy, and Hermie was like most of us guys - confused, inquisitive, and deep in thought about a love he couldn't have. One of them was interested in a little rubber ball, one owned a rubber and was dying to use it, and one was somewhere in between. At least one of them would look back upon their adventures during the summer of '42 and recall it with the vivid detail that many of us have about our own childhood.

“For those adults who were once a fifteen-year-old boy or ever wanted to understand them, this is the movie that will touch you. To children who ever wanted to understand male adolescence before the digital world, this movie is a must. Other movies have come close but it remains my favorite flick and I am deeply grateful for Herman Raucher.”

This is actually a true story. Stars Jennifer O'Neill as Dorothy. Both the movie and the OST by Michel Legrand are included.
