The luxuriously lazy title track features a galloping groove and easy choruses that are downright Beatles-esque in their poppiness. "Primer Dia" is a questionable moment, with its uneasy mix of synthesized grooves and rap breaks, but for the most part, Limon y Sal offers just the right mix of radio-ready shimmer and rock edges, thanks in part to production work from Coti Sorokin and Cachorro Lopez. It only gets better as you dig deeper: the racing chrouses of "A Donde Sea"; the regional kick of "No Sere"; or the retro club vibe of "Eres Para Mi." Prime, intelligent pop at its best--and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Like no one else, Brazilian born Cibelle makes use of a variety of elements to create unique, imaginative and enchanting pieces of music. Her second album is a genuine masterpiece. Moving into even more adventurous sonic terrain than its predecesor, the "Shine Of Dried Electric Leaves" combines rootsy acoustic instrumentation, electronic processing, noise guitars & children's toys, captivating textural soundscapes & pure melodies all anchored by Cibelle's unmistakable, moving voice.

Damon and Naomi's psych-atmospheric music cannot exactly be defined. However, their mood, emotion given to you can exactly be caught in every second of songs. Their musical ability in the album is like flying at higher levels in the sky with the colaboration of Ghost guitarist Michio Kurihara as a virtual third group member. This album is the peak of Damon & Naomi's career.

Debut solo album from Portishead vocalist, in collaboration with Talk Talk man Paul Webb (alias Rustin Man). Eschewing Portishead's lush orchestrations for a sparse, bare production, this is a collection of quiet, acoustic folk and jazz balladry which showcases Gibbons's versatile voice. Features additional production and guitar work by her Portishead colleague Adrian Utley. Lee Harris & Simon Edwards of Talk Talk also contributed to the record. The album was mixed by Phill Brown who worked on Talk Talk's 'Spirit Of Eden'. Go Beat.

Anna Nalick is the rare artist who makes you want to grab pop music's wheels by the spokes so they'll stop spinning so fast. "Wait," the 11 songs on this debut disc say collectively to the newly initiated, "there's something substantial here.". Though each of these songs is distinctive enough to avoid congealing with the others into a gorgeous glop of introspection, heavy sighs, and reflection, leadoff track and first single "Breathe (2 A.M.)" works small wonders as a flagship song. Its simple, lonely piano swirls into guitars that stop just short of rocking, allowing plenty of room for Nalick's unaffected voice to spill in. When it does, the music turns forest-thick and dreamy.

Dido started working on her third album in October 2005 in Los Angeles. The album has been produced by Jon Brion and herself. Collaborators include Brian Eno, and Rollo Armstrong, among others. Recording sessions were held at London's Abbey Road and at Jon Brion's home studio in Los Angeles.

Safe Trip Home is the warm, moving, and wonderfully musical third album from Dido, the London-born singer-songwriter with the cracked-crystal voice. "Dido bares her heart in her music in a way that she doesn't in any other public domain," says Rollo (Dido's brother)[...]it all goes from Dido to the listener in the most straightforward, emotionally honest way." The album, stays to her tried and tested formula of minimalism, ennui and trademark pathos - beginning with the opening emptiness of "Don't Believe In Love", which is one of the songs she performs on this radio recording made a few days ago, and also is the video clip's song.
With the money she earned she bought herself a piano and started composing new songs of her own. This album was only released in limited edition and is very sought-after by collectors and traders.

A violin begins to play off stage and the voice of old Bianca arrives, carried by sounds of sea and broken shells. The melodies take both the rhymes of childhood and old blues or jazz titles of the southern United States. CocoRosie brings in their intimacy in their world of sweetness and melancholy, magic and pain, as if they offered us their diary written for four hands. The violinist sometimes sings with them and her voice makes the interpretation of “Beautiful Boys” superb.

Allison and Catherine Pierce are from Alabama, they're sisters and they're rather attractive. Together they make some pretty fine, artsy pop with provocative lyrics vaguely in the vein of Regina Spektor. Thirteen Tales is the first album the duo has made with their own say-so. There's a dramatic flair to their country-inflected orchestral New Wave folk-pop. With its doubled-up and contemporary-sounding pop vocal style, the macabre "Secrets" sounds like the soundtrack to a Tim Burton movie with words written by Dame Darcy, as sung by half the members of the Pussycat Dolls. But this is definitely a super entertaining duo, one to watch out for. --Mike McGonigal

Kate's debut album is titled "Melankton". Melankton means "Black Rose" which describes Kate's idea of the album's sound-scape and production perfectly: dark, yet beautiful. The songs on the album range from symphonic pop extravaganza to the most intimate of melodies. A truly beautiful body of work, Melankton is heady, intoxicating and evocative with its mix of wistful lyrics, mellifluous orchestration and cinematic electronica.

Regina Spektor’s last album, 2004’s Soviet Kitsch, garnered praise from Time, Rolling Stone, Spin, Vanity Fair, The New York Times and many others. But this Russian-born, Bronx-bred singer-songwriter-pianist, who emerged from the NYC cafe circuit, continues to expand her vision. On Begin To Hope, produced by David Kahne (The Strokes, Sublime, Sugar Ray), she broadens her palette with electric guitar, drum machines and seductive electronic loops, finding new canvases for her provocative vocal style. Hope for pop has arrived with Regina Spektor.

KT Tunstall – Eye to the Telescope - Deluxe Edition (2006)

Perhaps it's inevitable that KT Tunstall's Eye to theTelescope will draw initial comparisons to Dido, since they're both female adult alternative singer/songwriters who bear a certain similarity in their vocal timbres. But as Tunstall's debut starts to unfold, those superficial connections fall away, as she reveals herself to be a soulful vocalist, a restless musician, and a serious songwriter.

Colbie Caillat - Coco - Deluxe Edition (2008)
Pop | MP3 | VBR 256kbps avg | 85,2 MB | English | RAR

“Sweetness rules on Colbie Caillat's debut, Coco, which is perhaps only appropriate for an album bearing that name, but the record doesn't play like a toasty mug of chocolate on a winter's day, it's a sugary lemonade on a breezy summer afternoon. It's light and comforting, a familiar blend of sunny pop and singer/songwriter tropes that flirt with cliche but never sound hackneyed”
