John Lennon & Yoko Ono – Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins (1968)
EAC RIP | FLAC+CUE, LOG | Complete Booklet Scans @ 600 d.p.i. | 1 CD | 203Mb
Genre: Avant-Garde

John Lennon and Yoko Ono's much-maligned 1968 experimental album consists of noises, instrumental feedback, and mumbling. It's not for anyone expecting "Imagine," but if you are a Beatles or Lennon completist, you’ll want to check it out. Of interest is the bonus track, “Remember Love.” It was the b-side to “Give Peace A Chance” and the track makes it CD debut on this 1997 Ryko reissue. It's just Lennon on acoustic guitar and Ono on vocal, and it is quite an unexpected surprise. The original LP tracks (tracks 1 and 2 on the CD) each took up a side of the record and ran about 14 minutes each. Because “Remember Love” is the real attraction here it is offered as a stand-alone .wav file for those not wishing to suffer through the rest of the album. With complete booklet scans at 600 d.p.i.

John Lennon & Yoko Ono – Wedding Album (1969)
EAC RIP | WAV IMG+CUE, LOG | Complete Booklet Scans @ 600 d.p.i. | 1 CD | 318Mb + 126Mb
Genre: Experimental

Beatle John Lennon and his performance artist bride Yoko Ono continued their experimental recordings with “Wedding Album,” their third album of avant-garde sounds. The album was intended to celebrate/chronicle their well publicized courtship, jet setting, and “Bed-In For Peace” staged during their March 1969 honeymoon. Never ones to shy away from publicity the pair recognized that their honeymoon would be of interested to reporters so they invited media from around the world into their honeymoon suite and conducted around the clock interviews. Reporters expecting something racy instead found the pajama-clad Lennons spreading the word about peace.

Cheech and Chong - 4 albums, 1 single 1975-1985
EAC RIP | WAV IMG+CUE, LOG | Cover scans
Genre: Comedy

After the triumphs of their first four albums, all hailed as comedy gems, Cheech and Chong’s act began to stale. In 1975 instead of a new album they issued a single to ride the “Jaws” film phenomenon -- “(How I Spent My Summer Vacation) Or A Day At The Beach With Pedro And Man.” The single peaked at #15 on the Billboard singles chart. Fans had to wait until 1976 for the next stoner comedy fix. “Sleeping Beauty” was the uneven album the duo delivered. While it reached #25 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, it remained on the charts only 13 weeks. It was a sign of things to come.

Included here are the albums of new material Cheech and Chong released between 1976 and 1985.
"Sleeping Beauty” (1976)
The “Up In Smoke” soundtrack (1978)
“Let’s Make A New Dope Deal” (1980)
“Get Out Of My Room” (1985)
as well as a stand-alone .wav file of their 1975 single “(How I Spent My Summer Vacation) Or A Day At The Beach With Pedro And Man.”

Blues Brothers - Made In America (1980) [1995 Remaster]
EAC RIP | WAV IMG+CUE, LOG | Complete Booklet Scans @ 600 d.p.i. | 1 CD | 278Mb
Genre: Blues

Recorded during a promotional tour to support the film “The Blues Brothers,” “Made In America” was culled from the band’s seven-night stand at the Universal Amphitheater between July 26 and August 1, 1980. The band performed most of the songs on their first album (“Briefcase Full Of Blues”), some songs featured in the film (most notably “Gimme Some Lovin’,” “She Caught The Katy," "Theme From Rawhide," and “Jailhouse Rock”) and a slew of songs slated specifically for this release. Inexplicably left off were “Expressway To Your Heart” and "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love" which were released on 1982’s “Best Of The Blues Brothers,” and any number of songs from the movie performed live and not included on the first album that would have expanded this album’s scant 34-minute running time.

"Hopes And Fears" is the debut album from British band Keane. Originally released in 2004, the 2009 2-CD "deluxe edition" features a second CD of bonus material. There is so much material available from this era of the band a third CD could have been included, but fans will be more than pleased with this expanded release, which compiles all of the band's pre-major label single tracks in one place. In addition, there are choice live radio performances, several charity singles, and the most sought-after Keane track, "A Heart To Hold You," making its official debut on this collection. What is missing are the whole of the major label single CD bonus tracks (save for one, "Snowed Under"). Those seven tracks could have spilled onto a third CD along with several other outtakes, alternate versions and a multitude of TV appearances that could have been culled from.
