Genre: Pop/Rock/Industrial | Label: Interscope/Nothing halo eight

This is one of the best re-issues to date. The 5.1 and advanced surround mixes are A+, which is what one would expect from Trent Reznor. Im assuming you know how good The Downward Spiral is , so i wont go into to that, suffice to say, it rates as one fo the best albums of the 90's and one of my personal favorites, this album got me through many a breakup and hard time. Ive never heard NIN sound so good, i do have the concert dvd so i knew beforehand how good this medium can sound in surround, but in album form its breathtaking.

Genre: Pop/Rock, Album Rock, Aussie Rock | Label: DTS Entertainment/Liquid 8

With Capricornia, the Australian political rockers return with their first album of new material in four years. More than 25 years into their career, there's nothing surprising about Midnight Oil's approach at the turn of the millennium, but Capricornia finds them delivering their expected blend of melodic, muscular, and thoughtful guitar rock.

Dub was the original chill-out music, the mellow rush from the souls of Jamaica's dreads. Here's the ultimate dub prescription, featuring massive mixes from King Tubby, Augustus Pablo, Lee Perry, Yabby U, and a strong sprinkling of new rulers of riddim. So curl up or roll up, and turn the bass up...

Label: Keltia Musique KMCD166 / KMCD166-2 | Genre: Reggae/Dub, Reggae-Pop

There's no debating that Sinéad O'Connor is one of the great singers to come from the pop world in the late 20th century. Her recordings and live performances have underscored her reputation in spades. Throw Down Your Arms is her first official outing since her "retirement" three years previously. Despite the cover photo of O'Connor as a young communicant, the set here is strictly hard reggae -- all the cuts are covers of classic reggae tunes. Recorded at Tuff Gong and Anchor Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, and produced by Sly & Robbie -- who are also the key rhythm section on the disc -- it stars some of the cream of the scene's elder crop, from guitarist Mikey Chung to Sticky Thompson, Dean Fraser, and many others.

Simple Minds: Once Upon A Time (1985)
96kHz/24-bit 5.1 FLAC + 44kHz/24-bit 5.1 DTS | Source: Retail DVD-A | 2,42 GB + 401 MB| RS | 3% recovery
Genre: Pop/Rock | Label: EMI/DTS Entertainment

Riding the coat tails of the John Hughes flick The Breakfast Club, Simple Minds finally broke America with their theme song "Don't You Forget About Me," and their 1985 release Once Upon a Time captured the heart-wrenching excitement found in bands such as U2. They were now one of the biggest names in music and Jim Kerr's thirsting vocals became the band's signature. Once Upon a Time, featuring producer Jimmy Iovine (U2, Stevie Nicks, Bruce Springsteen), showcased more of a guitar-driven sound. The band's heavy synth-pop beats had relaxed a bit and Charlie Burchill's charming playing style was most noticeable. Also enlisting the choir-like beauty of Robin Clark, Simple Minds' popularity was expounded on songs such as Alive & Kicking and "Sanctify Yourself." This album was one of their best, most likely leading the pack in the band's album roster, because it exuded raw energy and solid composition not entirely captured on previous albums. Sheryl Crow: The Globe Sessions (2003)
DTS CD (cue + wav) | 44/20 5.1 DTS | 5 x 99 MB + 1 X 52 MB| RS | 3% recovery
Genre: Pop/Rock, Classic Rock | Label: DTS Entertainment

Since her dense, varied, post-modernist eponymous second album illustrated that Sheryl Crow was no one-album wonder, she wasn't left with as much to prove the third time around. Having created an original variation on roots rock with Sheryl Crow, she was left with the dilemma of how to remain loyal to that sound without repeating herself on her third album, The Globe Sessions. To her credit, she never plays lazy, not when she's turning out Stones-y rockers ("There Goes the Neighborhood") or when she's covering Dylan (the remarkable "Mississippi," an outtake from Time Out of Mind). However, she has decided to abandon the layered, yard-sale production and pop-culture fixations that made Sheryl Crow a defining album of the mid-'90s. The Globe Sessions, instead, is the work of a craftsman, one who knows how to balance introspective songs with pop/rockers, one who knows how to exploit their signature sound while becoming slightly more eclectic.

Eric Clapton: 461 Ocean Boulevard (1974)
DTS CD (dts wavs) | 44/20 5.1 DTS | 3 x 99 MB + 1 X 66,7 MB| RS | 3% recovery
Genre: Pop/Rock, Classic Rock | Label: DTS Entertainment

461 Ocean Boulevard is Eric Clapton's second studio solo album, arriving after his side project of Derek and the Dominos and a long struggle with heroin addiction. Although there are some new reggae influences, the album doesn't sound all that different from the rock, pop, blues, country, and R&B amalgam of Eric Clapton. However, 461 Ocean Boulevard is a tighter, more focused outing that enables Clapton to stretch out instrumentally.
