The 2001 edition of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit video was produced to be shown on MTV, but except for brief appearances by an MTV staff person, who provides narration, the format is entirely familiar. Beautiful women travel to exotic locations, eccentric and demanding photographers take a gazillion photographs of them, and the editors of the magazine engage in a painstaking process to figure out which photos measure up to the standards of the fabled swimsuit issue. This edition of the annual video contains a brief look back at the magazine's tradition of showcasing swimsuit models as well as a segment showing some problems faced in past years (such as a capsizing boat that scuttled a photographer and thousands of dollars worth of equipment). But for the most part the camera lingers over the bodies of more than a dozen models, including Josie Maran, Heidi Klum, Daniela Pestova, Michelle Behennah, and Molly Sims. Clad in the tiniest and tightest swimsuits imaginable, the women are seen posing--and occasionally talking about how much work posing is--in locations ranging from Las Vegas to Malaysia to Greece to Tunisia. The video is, as one might expect, very professionally produced, and while it contains no real surprises, it's a suitable tribute to the annual magazine issue that has become an American institution.

Blade is a mega-popular Vampire action film series starring and produced by Wesley Snipes, adapted from the Blade comics series. Snipes plays the character of Blade, a half-man, half-vampire superhero vampire hunter who becomes the protector of humans against the vampires. It spawned a sequel, Blade II: Blood Hunt, released in 2002. Another sequel, Blade: Trinity, was released in December 2004.

Set in Latin America, we visit with the most scorching hot girls in the world on their personal photo shoots. A majority of the models are latin as well. Each chapter seemingly becomes better than the one before, and I found myself pondering which girl is really the most beautiful. Is it possible to determine? It's like trying all the fruits of the earth and loving each one for a different reason. I had to start from the beginning more than once to see if they were all as equally talented as I remembered. I even ran through the entire DVD in super slow mode. It was my day off.
Is it too late to change my career to oil boy? Will I ever have the good fortune to cross paths with Melissa Keller? Does Petra Nemcova like the Yankees too? These are questions I keep running through my head as I get ready for another day. A day I will be sure to appreciate the simplest things in life (like a chili pepper bikini) thanks to this DVD.
On a final note, Yamila Diaz-Rahi does such an amazing job as SI's host, it would be a good idea for the producers at CBS to have her replace Bryant Gumble on "The Early Show", since a position will soon be available.

Instead, a more worldly Madge struggles to become a less sound-bite-reliant, more sincere person. The bonus live CD proves that she's a better singer.
I'm Going to Tell You a Secret is a documentary which followed Madonna on her successful Re-Invention Tour, from dancer auditions to rehearsals and opening night all the way through the final show and her visit to Israel in the fall of 2004. The film premiered commercial-free on MTV in the United States on October 21, 2005.

Sequel to the 2003 cult movie in which a person can change the past via remembering their forgotten memories due to blackouts. The premise of The Butterfly Effect 2, that one's mind can schizophrenically create its own set of realities as a defense mechanism against painful memories, remains the same as in the original movie, though the circumstances for the split differ. In this case, the protagonist, Nick (Eric Lively), takes his girlfriend, Julie (Erica Durance), and their two best friends, Trevor and Amanda, out camping, when upon return they are all crushed to death by a big rig. Nick survives, though plagued by migraine-like seizures that induce in him fantasies starring his friends, during which he's promoted to VP at his place of employment, rather than fired for incompetence. Subplots get less and less tangible, as his fantasies turn to nightmares, and Nick experiences his deceased friends' deaths repeatedly and from various invented causes.
