Wireless Sensor Networks
Publisher: Springer | ISBN: 3540208259 | edition 2004 | PDF | 383 pages | 11,6 mb

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First European Workshop on Wireless Sensor Networks, EWSN 2004, held in Berlin, Germany in January 2004.
The 24 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 76 submissions. Wireless sensor networks are a key technology for new ways of interaction between computers and the physical world around us. Compared to traditional networking, wireless sensor networks are faced with a rather unique mix of challenges: scalability, energy-efficiency, self-configuration, constrained computation and memory resources in individual nodes, data centricity, etc. This is one of a very small number of books entirely devoted to the presentation of cutting-edge R & D results in this exciting new area.

Rare Hematological Malignancies
Publisher: Springer | ISBN: 038773743X | edition 2007 | PDF | 435 pages | 49,5 mb

Many comprehensive text books have been written about the common hematologic malignancies. However, every practicing hematologist/oncologist or primary care physician intermittently encounters patients with uncommon or rare hematologic malignancies. Information concerning these diseases, and particularly regarding their management, is extremely difficult to find. Physicians will commonly spend a substantial period of time searching the medical literature for help or will call a colleague who may have greater expertise in the area.
Rare Hematological Malignancies covers malignant hematologic diseases that physicians would see only occasionally, providing accurate, up-to-date information on the disease biology and practical recommendations concerning the disease management.

Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems
Publisher: John Wiley & Sons | ISBN: 0471319996 | edition 2000 | DJVU | 1310 pages | 12,2 mb

Written primarily for undergraduate students of mathematics, science, or engineering, who typically take a course on differential equations during their first or second year. The main prerequisite is a working knowledge of calculus.
The environment in which instructors teach, and students learn differential equations has changed enormously in the past few years and continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Computing equipment of some kind, whether a graphing calculator, a notebook computer, or a desktop workstation is available to most students. The seventh edition of this classic text reflects this changing environment, while at the same time, it maintains its great strengths - a contemporary approach, flexible chapter construction, clear exposition, and outstanding problems. In addition many new problems have been added and a reorganisation of the material makes the concepts even clearer and more comprehensible.
Like its predecessors, this edition is written from the viewpoint of the applied mathematician, focusing both on the theory and the practical applications of differential equations as they apply to engineering and the sciences.

3D Game Engine Design: A Practical Approach to Real-Time Computer Graphics
Publisher: Morgan Kaufmann | ISBN: 1558605932 | edition 2000 | PDF | 585 pages | 40,5 mb

This is a great book for someone who is writing his or her first 3D engine and has a reasonable background in math. Even for people who have written game engines before, there is plenty of value in the alternative techniques that Eberaly presents for various parts of the 3D pipeline, which makes for a great reference text. I particularly like the presentation of various alternatives and their pros and cons. He clearly covers performance issues and includes all the important elements of a graphics game engine. He even includes a good introduction to animation techniques and collision detection. The book is not ashamed to delve deep into the technical details and the mathematics behind 3D graphics; I think this is good. 3D Game Engine Design would certainly find a prime place on my bookshelf. --Dominic Mallinson, Director of Technology, Research, and Development, Sony Computer Entertainment America
