Course in Modern Icelandic

A comprehensive textbook of the traditional sort (each chapter consisting of a reading text, a vocabulary list, extensive grammatical explanations, exercises, and sentences for translation into the target language).
Designed for classroom use but suitable for self study if combined with a separate audio course. I have consulted this book heavily and am highly impressed by the author's ready knack for bringing clarity to some rather complex subject matter.
