Pierre Bordreuil and Dennis Pardee are eminently qualified to prepare a Manual of Ugaritic that takes into account the most recent advances in the field while at the same time honoring the pioneers of Ugaritological research, Edouard Dhorme and Charles Virolleaud, by publishing the first edition of this book in French. Both authors possess the primary qualification of having extensive teaching experience.
