Believing thai the doctor and the sanitarian would play an important and by no means discreditable part in this World War, after offering my services to friends on the British Army Medical Staff, only to find that they could not accept any one, save on the terms of taking the oath of allegiance and losing American citizenship, I decided to attempt to visit and study the medical arrangements on the Western Fronts.
