Chronica Miqvaeliensis
A brief history of the Asturias kingdom from II century BC to XII century AC
Publisher: None | Pages: 40 | 2001 | ISBN None | Spanish & Latin | PDF | 0.77 Mb | RS.com

The history of the Cantabrian people (Bay of Biscay, North of Spain) from the second century before Christ to XII century after Christ is written by the Abate Miqvaelius, from the Monastery of the San Antolin of Bedon. You can see nowadays its ruins sited on a beautiful place where the Bedon River flows into the Cantabria coast, in the municipality of Llanes, Principality of Asturias. In that period begins de Spanish 'Reconquista', fighting Christians against Arabic people. The Christian kingdom of Asturias is born and then, this little book, tell us the life of the twelve Kings of Asturias. However their humoristic style, it has a good historical accuracy. It’s really easy to read, but you have understood pretty well Spanish or Italian, if not, it's a little bit difficult to get the whole sense of the text.
