I've had many problem with pdf before. They only support adobe reader or foxit reader.
If you open them with other pdf viewer, they will ask you a password.
But if you open with foxit reader or adobe reader, you can view them.
Why don't try foxit reader for linux?
Have fun!
Please install winxp on your vitural box and read them.
