Training from lynda.com: Learning JavaScript with Charles G. Hollins
On 2 CDs | ISBN: 1-930727-30-5 | Duration: 7,5 hours
Learning JavaScript with Charles G. Hollins is a CD-ROM based workshop for HTML developers who wish to move from static to interactive Web development. Although JavaScript is primarily used to execute programming logic within the Web browser, the language has now become the industry standard for client-side programming. Thus, developers can apply their skills to Macromedia Flash, Adobe Acrobat and a variety of applications which support the JavaScript language.
The JavaScript code in this workshop was designed and demonstrated under the Windows operating system. The samples were developed and tested for the Windows versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator 6; most should run within any browser that supports JavaScript. However, some incompatibilities may exist under different operating systems and browsers.

Captain Peng,
Thanks
I'am not sure if you could resume upload at RS without a premium account, and even if you do have one i'am still not sure about the possibility as i never experienced a broken upload. I never tried Flashget or any other similar software, probably there is a way out there and hopefully someone will get in here and give more details about this issue.

However, you didnt hinted you were a RS premium account holder, there is this little program called rapidget which is very usefull when it comes to uploading files, as one could just queue the files and set off for other activities while the computer is busy doing its job.
Captain Peng,
Thank you so much for the PHP tutorial. Before I begin, let me make it clear, this is an appeal for help, not a complaint.
MY SITUATION: I've been having trouble with the file 0104.mov. I've redownloaded the 01.rar file but the result was the same. This particular file of the tutorial is part of lynda.com's demo page, thus I am able to play the particular 0104.mov file.
MY QUESTION: Is there a way for me to save the quicktime mov file to hard disk so that I can use the file as the replacement for the 0104.mov part of the tutorial?
MY ATTEMPT: I am using firefox. I noticed that the playing file is being saved into my Local SettingsApplication DataApple ComputerQuickTimedownloads folder as a <filename>.qcht file. However, when I save and rename the qcht file into 0104.mov, the file cannot be played. I also noticed that once the movie stops playing, the <filename>.qcht file disappears.
I will appreciate anyone's help. Thanks
Hey! I was able to solve my problem, a problem which some of you may also encounter. Earlier I reported having trouble with the file 0104.mov being corrupted when the downloaded file is decompressed. The solution: use your downloader to get the url:
http://ws.lynda.com/stream.ashx?token=52439c1b-758f-4693-9bce-4900bb739df4
and name it as 0104.mov. That should replace the missing 0104.mov file.
