Here's the 'naked' links for the above;

http://fileserve.com/list/TyfZFcf
http://www.wupload.com/folder/2071862

In case of redirection.

Also as I mentioned, I don't know what's up with FilePost today and no 'Public' folders. I hope it is just a mistake and not a trend.

Anyone know how to do that + list of links thingie?
Posted By: Russ Russell Date: 08 Feb 2012 21:43:55
Thanks sKurt! You're definetly the Great (not Alexander), no doubt about it, you terrible musicman, you.
Thanks even more for using alternative mirrors, and not so bad ones.
Maybe you can tell me something about this weird trend going on:
What's all about this FilePost crap everybody keeps using exclusevely?
What's wrong with
-Uploaded.to
-DepositFiles
-Wupload
-Fileserve
-Rapishare
-Bitshare
-Freakshare
-Hotfile
and more? Avaxhome is becoming a little complicated to enjoy, don't you think?

I wish I could help you about that + thingie you need.

Wow,fingerstyle!Hard work, man. Thanks,it´s the style I most enjoy along with classical.Sorry about enlisting archives on Filepost,I have no idea..but,personally speaking,I don´t like that host so much..Yes,I know that it is a "must" around here,but..:-S.It cost a lot to download anything..
Posted By: JoseChiky Date: 08 Feb 2012 22:13:42
Hey,Russ, sorry,I hadn´t read what you wrote. That´s I was trying to say, what happens with the other servers? What´s wrong with them?
Posted By: sKurt Date: 08 Feb 2012 22:34:12
Found the h*i*d*e command so fixed the 'sloppy' looking post.

And I have had DepositFiles, HotFile, RapidShare, FileFactory accounts in the past, but avaxhome requires FilePost, and their problem (FilePost, not avaxhome) is that with all the other hosts jumping ship, they are taking up the slack and are having a hard time with it.

I was looking at killing all but FileSonic/FileServe/MegaUpload, but of course with two outta three out...

The problem with Uploaded.to, is it is blocked in the US so those people can't get the files unless they use a proxy or other means. So I'll probably stick with FilePost/FileServe/Wupload until things settle more. I really don't want to 'commit' to a host at the moment and find them closed the next day. So month by month will be the norm for a bit.

Thanks sKurt!
Posted By: Stretto Date: 08 Feb 2012 23:24:39
Skurt, if you can give lists easy I would appreicate it. It makes it so much easier to get them. Without it I have to copy one at a time. Filepost sucks but I guess theres not much of an alternative. Fileserve/blitz doesn't seem to work for me and wupload is very slow(not much slower than filepost but I can download multiples at a time from filepost).
Posted By: sKurt Date: 08 Feb 2012 23:27:55
@Stretto, what do you mean? Like I had to with FilePost this time?

have to tried jDownloader? It will allow you to right-click the 'folder' and grab *all* the files at once.

Posted By: harrybas Date: 09 Feb 2012 00:46:42
Thx a lot as usual. Unfortunately the dvd image have some issues to work properly. The screen is full of mosaics.
Posted By: confusia Date: 09 Feb 2012 01:49:08
I also have a very poor video quality with this dvd. The picture breaks up into mosaic. It's a large download which is disappointing.
Posted By: sKurt Date: 09 Feb 2012 02:31:11
Anyone else?

And what do you use to view?

I opened the .ISO to make my screenshots, so they came from the same source you use.

I used mplayerx and vlc to get info/screenshots and they all looked good.

|Hi sKurt
Downloaded all files from Fileserve no problem
Unrared the 2 files .....played the DVD files on my PC with VLC ......worked fined
When I burned it to a DVD the video played back very badly a lot of breakup and audio problems
The files still play OK when played on the PC though
Going to burn with a different program and see what happens
Will get back to you later.....
Posted By: sKurt Date: 09 Feb 2012 03:15:11
Thanks @fuddsy, I just extracted the two sets of rar's into the .iso and opened it up with VLC and ran fine.

http://pixhost.me/pictures/2117826

yet another batch of images from the .ISO.

I *didn't* burn to DVD, I usually don't do that.
Posted By: confusia Date: 09 Feb 2012 03:46:52
Hi skurt
the dvd did not play well on my zoom player. I downloaded vlc though and it did play fine. It would not however convert to another format. I prefer smaller avi files (divx or vidx) and the dvd either refused to convert or pixelated in 3 different conversion software.

Disappointing as that is, sometimes these things happen. thanks again for the effort.

Posted By: harrybas Date: 09 Feb 2012 07:58:54
Hi Skurt,

I didn't burn the dvd. I have tried it as a dvd image. I doesn't work well in VLC, either in media player.
Posted By: JoseChiky Date: 09 Feb 2012 09:08:44
I haven´t run it yet,but if it works well on VLC or media player,it´s fine, isn´t it?:-/
Posted By: JoseChiky Date: 09 Feb 2012 10:49:46
Skurt, sorry for this non-related topic but..could anybody download this video and upload it to a better server? :-(

http://avaxhome.ws/ebooks/music/Blues-by-the-Book.html

Filepost is the holy shit..
Posted By: confusia Date: 09 Feb 2012 13:52:17
harrybas are you opening the dvd vob files individually by themselves (from explorer) or from within vlc itself? I found that the video worked ok with the latter but not the former.

The hanson video is fine like filepost is fine, JoseChiky. It works for some but obviously not for others. :)
Posted By: locojoe Date: 09 Feb 2012 13:59:35
I had problems too, rare for a sKurt post, when burned to dvd. The playback was blurry and choppy, with seek errors. The iso played fine from the pc with vlc. I used verbatin dvd-r at 8x, which usually result in a perfect burn. I'm going to dismantle the iso and reconstruct it with dvd shrink and I'll post my results. Thanks again skurt.
Posted By: harrybas Date: 09 Feb 2012 14:19:14
@confusia, no I didn't open these vob files by themselves. I used virtual daemon as always with iso files.

As a matter of fact, answering your question, I just tried to open a vob file and the problem is exactly the same.

Posted By: sKurt Date: 09 Feb 2012 15:24:46
Ok everyone, this DVD *is* copy protected, I used AnyToISO to make it an .ISO this time as Toast wouldn't all me to copy a CSS protected disc.

It does play with VLC/mPlayerX if you use the OPEN DISC option and load VIDEO_TS.

I guess it doesn't work so well if you try to burn it to disc.

@harrybas, try downloading VLC and seeing if that works for you.

I still have the original disc, I'll see if I can rip it to .AVI files and reburn to DVD and rip the 'non copy protected' version back to .ISO
Posted By: harrybas Date: 09 Feb 2012 15:31:38
@skurt, I use VLC as I said in my first message. Unortunately it doesn't work.
Posted By: locojoe Date: 09 Feb 2012 17:25:49
sKurt, that's too much work and will result in significant degradation.
Posted By: Earl_Grey Date: 09 Feb 2012 18:00:50
Skurt, I agree that's too much work. Once I found that DVD decrypt got rid of some copy problems I was having once, I don't know if that will work here as it seems different with every disc.

I know the focus around here is to have the best quality, however if it is not too much trouble would it be possible to get a small but watchable AVI along with PDF?
[I just prefer small downloads to whole DVDs :-)]
Posted By: locojoe Date: 09 Feb 2012 18:58:24
Man, that's a pesky file! I tried dvdshrink, dvddecrypter, and fab dvd platinum, all three no go. Extracting the video files with poweriso, garbled. I think you need to decrypt it from the original disk first. It does play ok in VLC though!

update: plays ok for MOST of the dvd, but still several areas are garbled and pixellated
Posted By: nobrains Date: 09 Feb 2012 19:36:50
All you need to do is extract the ISO & mount it in a Virtual DVD drive and use a program
called ''SmartRipper v2.41'' to remove the protection. Just have the program save the files to another folder. Just make sure you select all of the files when doing this. The resulting files can be played with VLC or any DVD software. You can also burn the files to DVD and play on your home DVD player. The DVD plays perfectly with no pixelation or other issues. This is for windows PC users. Sorry MAC users. SmartRipper does not need to be installed. just run the EXE. Be sure to run a virus scan on it before using.

Posted By: harrybas Date: 09 Feb 2012 19:54:01
@nobrains, just tried your procedure. Same issues.
Posted By: Earl_Grey Date: 09 Feb 2012 20:03:14
Once someone works it out & gets it working, if they could post an AVI & PDF that would be great! Sorry for harping on, but I only have small bandwidth, so smaller is better for me.
Posted By: nobrains Date: 09 Feb 2012 20:04:49
That's strange since the one I did works perfectly. Maybe you should read the page posted above. Don't change any of the defaults in the program. Also did you do it from the mounted ISO or from the extracted files. It has to be done from the mounted ISO.
Posted By: harrybas Date: 09 Feb 2012 20:08:20
I didn't change any options.
Posted By: sKurt Date: 09 Feb 2012 20:28:49
Don't listen to him, he's got nobrains... o_0

Ha! Give me a bit, I'll rip/post a smaller version from the original.

And sorry Mr. T. One of the reasons for uploading is I know it will get 'picked up' by the world and if I ever lose my copies, I can always re-download them in full 'living color' ;)

Posted By: twisterwes Date: 10 Feb 2012 01:31:20
SKurt, I usually rip with DVDDecrypter. Works like a charm. I will download ISO, mount it and re-rip with DVDDecrypeter adn see if that will help to remove copy protection. If it can't break it, you can add AnyDVD to it and that one takes out any protection.
Posted By: fuddsy Date: 10 Feb 2012 04:43:55
twisterwes
I wouldn't worry about doing that
I've already used them all....... including ANYDVD with CLONEDVD.....doesn't solve the problem

They've got something on this one...not sure what it is

Would have to have the orignal disc to try it from scratch
Posted By: sKurt Date: 10 Feb 2012 04:47:03
Ok, I grabbed *MacX DVD Ripper Pro 3.8.1* from here. And it is in the process of;

"DVD Backup: it acts as a DVD Decrypter, decrypt full DVD disc and copy to a VIDEO_TS folder, so that you
can burn to DVD disc use iDVD

This method will decrypt the DVD without decoding or encoding, the target video/audio quality will be
the same as the original one" (sic)

So hopefully I can .RAR the VIDEO_TS folder and you guys can burn to DVD without any issues.

I'll post when I'm done. There is a post uploading now so it'll be after that.
Posted By: sKurt Date: 10 Feb 2012 16:18:11
Ok, here is the FILESERVE listing of files. If they prove to be OK, I'll post to filepost/wupload.

Thank you sKurt for all these sharing posts !

Try this for not working DVD :
1)extract iso file with isobuster or winiso
2)Open Video_Ts folder
3)look Video_Ts.IFO and create a shortcut of this file.
4)Right click on this shortcut, choice :property, then open first tab and select : open with VLC...
Works fine for me...
Posted By: sKurt Date: 10 Feb 2012 16:33:19
With VLC you can just open it and File/Open Disc ->Open VIDEO_TS folder.

The issue is not so much running with VLC (Though some have issues) The issue is mostly trying to *burn* the .ISO to Disc.

I hope this second attempt will fix that issue.

Thanks for your suggestion

Lot of thanks!!I´m downloading it,and it´s almost finished.
Posted By: sKurt Date: 11 Feb 2012 01:34:01
Don't forget to report back @JoseChiky, I'd rather not waste uploading to filepost/wupload if it doesn't burn/play correctly.

Thanks
Posted By: JoseChiky Date: 11 Feb 2012 08:10:51
Ok,it seems that everything is alright. This last copy works correctly,at least for me.If anyone is having issues, please, report back too.

Hello sKurt !
downloaded, extract and burn with n**o...Works perfectly
Many thanks
Posted By: Earl_Grey Date: 11 Feb 2012 10:46:10
Would one of you lucky people with unlimited bandwidth who have had success with this, please consider making & posting a small AVI & PDF of this for us less fortunate souls who have limited bandwidth. :-)
Posted By: harrybas Date: 11 Feb 2012 12:54:21
Hey @Skurt !
This one works perfectly.
I made an ISO image and it works fine.

Thanks a lot !!
Posted By: sKurt Date: 11 Feb 2012 17:47:19
Thanks for reporting @JoseChiky/@harrybas, after my present upload finishes I'll upload this to Wupload/FilePost.

And @Earl Grey, I'll see what I can do about ripping to 'manageable' size
Posted By: sKurt Date: 12 Feb 2012 18:47:41
Ok, here's the Wupload set.

3.42GB Sized;

http://www.wupload.com/folder/2092082

1.05GB Sized;

http://www.wupload.com/folder/2092417

The 1GB is a Single .MP4 version with *no* covers, just the Movie. The next uploads will contain everything the full sized version contains.

The Extras for the 'lite' version are here; (Well, actually, the extras are for both versions).

http://www.wupload.com/file/2662470907

And should *also* be in the above folder.
