Hi,Skurt..bad news.Filesonic is down..:-(.It seems this is the beginning of the end.

Well with FileSonic and FileServe having issues and MegaUpload gone.


I still have FilePost and Wupload for a bit. However, NO ONE ever downloaded from Wupload, but I'm thinking that may have to change.

Also DepositFiles, Uploading, FileFactory and HotFile are options.


Any ideas?

And good luck with these posts. I'm pretty sure the FileServe will work for a bit, but unsure about when FileSonic will be able to move their servers out of the US.

interesting, one of the people was having 'issues' with the password, so I checked the stats on how many had already d/l the file and over 300 have downloaded it, with no hits from Wupload...

I looked at a few more like the Phrase by phrase PXP series and no wupload and looked at more and still no d/l for wupload.


But if the 'major' are dropping like flies, then people will *have* to use wupload/filepost.



I'll be 'Mirroring' this post with FilePost and Wupload next.

I have been working with the laptop these days so I could control the password.Check these files: LLTPDE-PART 9 and 4,GS-ARG PART 15,9,8,etc,to say some of them :-).

@fuddsy, should be there now, I wanted to get the folder link here as quick as I could.

Just started Filepost, Wupload is next.

@locojoe, Avaxhome says you *MUST* have FIleSonic/FilePost and others are optional. So, FilePost gets uploaded before Wupload.


I'm hoping FilePost will finish by today. I'll create the folder on Wupload and start the upload process so as the files finish, they'll be available.

Part 12 showed up all is well

I'm uploading to FilePost now, directly into the folder above, so as the files finish, you'll be able to d/l them - be patient, I can only upload 10 at a time, and it does take time.

I'll do the same for Wupload.

Filesonic link points to Blitzdownload? I haven't had any problems with Filesonic as recently as this afternoon...
What kills me is that Avax said Rapidshare was gone... I still use their free DL service for DL's on other sites, and their free service is faster now than Filesonic EVER was, even with a premium account. I shudder to think what the next step is going to be.

PS Interestingly both Onlinedisk & files.mail have their respective offices and servers in Russia.
To the cynical no I don't have an account at either one - I have (or should that read had) filesonic & fileserve. :(
It might be worthwhile someone from avaxhome examining Onlinedisk & files.mail. (extensions have been removed for safety but are fairly obvious)
Somehow I couldn't see the Russians bowing down to the US authorities.
Anyway just a thought.

Wupload has only the first file.

@harrybas, try wupload again. should be 'full' now. I uploaded one file to wupload during uploading to filepost, then finished wupload.

it's not over folks, just have to re-arrange our server/hosts

I remember trying to get Lick Library's Learn to Play Johnny Cash 2xDVDs and taking like a month to get it.

Then finding FileFactory/Hotfile and being able to download it in 60 minutes.

I'm sure there will be Russian hosts and 'work arounds' to be able to continue this form of sharing.

Look on the bright side. Even if file sharing totally went away tomorrow, you can then spend your time actually using the instructional vids instead of the time used being addicted to downloading. ;)

@panutto, I really hate rapidshare. It was OK at first, then they changed for the worse, then they changed again with their file structure and really 'screwed the pooch'

But if I *have to* Hell, I'll FileDropper first...

At the moment, Wupload is my only working 'paid' hoster FilePost *might* still be working, however, they are watching closely and flagging/closing accounts they find 'infringing'

I stopped my subscription to FilePost before the stuff hit the fan, same as wupload but I'm good for a few weeks with them and if things stabilize there, I'll 're-up'

Avaxhome needs to understand their 'hoster of choice' filepost may not be working for them soon.

I'm downloading using Wupload and Filepost and I'm getting lots of hoster errors. I'm sure since they are working, they are getting slammed more than usual.


UPDATE: EVERY FILEPOST file that I have in my jdownloader just turned red and stopped.

I think we're gonna have to take it easy for at least a week or so.
