In Search of Lost Time
D. York | Institute of Physics Publishing | ISBN: 0750304758 | 1997 | 156 Pages | 7.0 Mb

In Search of Lost Time” details mankind's quest, throughout the ages, to measure and understand time itself. The book is a reflection of Derek York's obsession with time and its measurement. It takes the reader from the pyramids of Egypt, through Stonehenge and the South China Plain, to the universities of Cambridge, McGill and Chicago, to the Patent Office in Berne, and back to the Ethiopian desert on the banks of the Awash River. On this time-odyssey the reader enters the mind-bending universe of the Special and General Theories of Relativity, the ghostly world of Quantum Mechanics and the unpredictable haunts of Chaos. Companions to share and illuminate the path range from Jonathan Swift's “Gulliver's Travels” and Lewis Carroll's “Alice” to J.B. Priestley's “Dangerous Corner”. The reader will meet the father of master-spy Kim Philby in the Empty Quarter of Arabia, the fantasist Velikovsky in the clouds, and Newton, Darwin, Rutherford, Einstein and the great earth scientists of this century who fathomed the depths of lost time and discovered the age of the earth. Written in an engaging, non-technical style for the lay-reader this book should delight and amaze all who encounter it.

thank you so much!

The reason posters don't allow mirrors is because with a premium account you get a kickback every time somebody downloads a file you've uploaded. It's in the Rapidshare FAQ http://rapidshare.com/en/faq.html Rapidshare has the longest wait between downloads of any site regularly used here. They calculate the wait time based on the size of the last file you downloaded if you have a free account. Depositfile, xupload, and others used here have a fixed wait time between downloads, usually about 45 seconds. On the plus side, Rapidshare seems to have the fastest, most reliable servers, but who cares if you're only downloading a 1 or 2 megabyte ebook?

rapidshare is the worst, except perhaps for reliability.
rapidshare is useless for me.
mihd is the best, free, unlimited, no pub, quick, no wait time.

Please give at least an alternate mirror with rapishare.

Thanks.

One more time: rapid$hit is a matter of dirty smelling business, not sharing. The na-na-na-na-mirror boyz are little $hucker$ at the service of the big-big-$hucker for the breadcrumbs. That's all, no more...

Why NO MIRRORS!
RS declaration: "You will get one point per download if the downloader is a free-user AND your file is bigger than 1 MB AND the downloader has generated less than 5 points in the last hour. These rules have been introduced to protect us from abuse."
Verify if you don´t believe: http://rapidshare.com/en/faq.html
Big files cannot downloaded by free users because the delay between DL is up to 3 1/2 hours (210 Minutes).
So please publish yourself mirrors except for 1 or two files or allow mirroring.
