I cannot understand this book at all. Apart from summaries of the chapters, it asks me to login and won't display other pages. Very strange. I doon't think its a book, but a website in disguise.

Am I missing something important? or is this "book" non-functional?

The Pharmacology book can be entirely read.
The CHM file contains the whole book without large images.
Book browsing is through table of contents only.
There is another folder containing all the images which have the same numbering as in the book.
Remember that hypertext links cannot be used, unless it is through the contents table.
Password is required for any other hypertext link.

If you need an image, seek its title in a separate directory.
