HP-48G/GX Investigations in Mathematics: Donald R. Latorre, Donald L. Kreider, T. G. Proctor
Charles River Media | ISBN: 1886801231 | 1996-01-22 | djvu (ocr) | 636 pages | 4.38 Mb
Use HP-48 G/GXC graphing calculator technology to aid in the computation and visualization of key subjects in the mathematics sequence: Calculus, Differential Equations, Vector Calculus and Linear Algebra. Inlcudes DOS diskette with a collection of special purpose.
Summary: This is a math text, not an HP48 tutorial or manual.
Rating: 4
This may or may not be a good text book, starting at the calculus level. As HP no longer sells copies of its HP48/S manual, I had hoped that this book would be heavy on HP48 usage along with the calculus. I found that this is not the case; this is firstly a text book, and light on HP48 general operation. Also note that the included software is incomplete in the sense that one must purchase the HP option package with cable and PC communication software. (As there are easy to find descriptions of how to rig your own cable, I had assumed that the book's software would stand alone. One can still manually enter all the HP48 programs.)
Summary: Everything you need to know about mathematics and more
Rating: 5
This is the book you have to buy if you want to know how to operate with mathematic functions with the HP48. It is really a great book and it worth every cent you will spend on it.
