Description: PET imaging has already shown its usefulness in the diagnosis and follow-up of brain tumors; however, PET also possess great promise for other neurologic conditions. Its use in the diagnosis of Alzheimer disease and dementia has been significant, and it is emerging as useful in patients with cerebral ischemia.
