Molecules, Crystals and Quantum Statistics

This book is a translation of the Italian edition of Fermi's "Molekole e Cristall", which is one of the finest introduction to the physics of molecules and crystals, and statistical mechanics, now in print. Aside from its usefulness as a textbook in a first-year graduate course, and as a reference book for physicists in general, it is of historical importance as part of Fermi's published works and as one of the earliest treatises on the aplication on quantum mechanics to various phases of the many-body problem.
